It's going to live under the same veil as the mondial...but that car was cheap. That being said it's no where near as bad as the online furor would lead one to believe. I see what the design is going for, and in a non Chinese bubble it has significant appeal IMO. But at 700k+ after options...one can have something very similar for a 20th the price, which is the point. It will sell on exclusivity and brand appeal, because "you" can't have it, even if you don't want it. It's not the first ugly or misunderstood insanely expensive items, nor will it be the last.

Give it enough track focused/go fast parts and it has a better market than it used to with the Vette being mid engine auto only now. Given the price point and features the mustangs get...there are sales and money to be made.

Unpopular Opinion: Automakers should keep full control over car infotainment systems, no CarPlay or Android Auto dominance

Screens age. Software ages quicker. Best way to keep the current infotainment viable is just to have them be mirror screens. A 720p TV doesn't look great, but it still is watchable. Meanwhile a computer running windows ME is unusable.

Government regulations were extremely aggressive. Less engineering, testing and time available to ensure all the bugs are worked out. New tech and pushing boundaries is going to lead to unforseen failures. Is what it is. Unfortunately it's also come at greater expense to the consumer too.

Used Porsche Cayman GT4 (981, 2015 – 2016) review: a flat-six hero that gives GT3 vibes for much less

Alignment is a bit tricky without new arms, but with shims you can get solid enough camber on the front(2.5ish) where the super 200tw tires stay happy. The rear is a pita to get enough toe in for maintaining braking stability while getting the camber desired, but even that will get to where it's needed, just requires a bunch of little adjustments to get it there. Swaybars set soft/hard. The GT4s initial turn in and cornering was notably more precise vs the 3. It doesn't do anything you wouldn't want it to. It just gets a little boring vs something like the 3 where playing with the weight around the car is much more rewarding. You won't regret a GT4, but it was also my 3rd vehicle and it just didn't have enough fizz or pop for that. As an only track/autoX/street car hell yes though.

Eh, I've had/have both... the GT4 while fantasic is no GT3. Notably softer, quieter, less frantic and less engaging when driven at the limit/weight transfer. Still wouldn't mind having another though.

Lamborghini Will Now Sell You a 10-Year Extended Warranty on a Temerario, Urus or Revuelto

Ferrari isn't about the reliability and standing behind the product. Magnusson Moss warranty act, that one that protects your ability to use independent mechanics/do your own service/etc while maintaining warranty is why these companies are doing this. MM doesn't allow companies to force you to service with said company to maintain warranty....unless that service is provided for free. The free service from Ferrari(and Toyota/Hyundai/etc) isn't some altruistic offering from Ferrari, it's to stop 3rd party servicing and to give them the ability to deny warranty if you do not use them during the free period.

Yes, Lincoln wants us to trade up from our current one. Test driven a couple, I said nothing about the interior, which is where it needs to be. I'm not dropping 6 figures on a truck that doesn't look premium when it pulls up/walking to it. We're moving to an Escalade instead.

PinkishOcean430@reddit

For sure. 18-23 Navigator was better. New one fails to bring presence or status. The new Escalade does that in spades(especially black/black/maroon interior). It's a bit too aggressive, but new Navigator looks like a rental Expedition. In a world of Range Rovers, Escalades, G wagons, the Navigator took a huge step back.

Putting on hazards when driving in rain/fog/etc. Those lights are to signify your vehicle is a hazard....not hazardous conditions. If they are on and you are not actively a potential hazard you are doing it wrong. You have no recourse if you truly become a hazard if they are already on. Can't signal, can't warn you've lost drive, nothing.

PinkishOcean430@reddit

So budget for maintenance and upkeep? Life's to short to not buy what you want. Especially if you are hating based off reading/hearsay.  Plenty of people own far more unreliable and expensive cars. If it's not a forced purchase (like a jeep) then It's part of its character. I don't hate any brand because of the cars...I do have some hate for their target audience, but that's different.
