I want to know what happens with the space that was normally used for the battery. These cars are tall because they were designed for the battery to be under the floor.

Now that you mention it, 59" is a pretty tall car. They hide that height with even more width and length.

The design hides its size well, but you can tell when you drive it that it's massive and tall.

For comparison, some CUVs are barely over 60". Though the last Charger was also almost 58".

About as tall as a Honda Fit - dayum.

Its probably just mostly void covered by aero panels now, but a lot will be taken up by the driveshaft, exhaust, and transmission.

Yeah, but I doubt they have different floor pans, which means that the seating position is still high and there's a lot of wasted space.

It’s the widest car on sale today - I think wasted space is a selling point for Dodge.

Thats cheap. As long as the build quality is good they should have good word of mouth among buyers

Its inline with a Mustang GT Premium for the RT - but with a much worse power/weight ratio, but you do get AWD out of it. Interestingly the GT has an even higher power to weight ratio as the Scat Pack. AWD is a big selling point though - these things are gonna launch hard.

Stellantis product with AWD boosted 6 what could go wrong?

They've had it for some time with the current Ram 1500 and Grand Wagoneer. The Charger will weigh a lot less than those, should be properly fast.

> As long as the build quality is good The Daytona has not been a good indicator of build quality. Ignoring the litany of electrical issues, interior rattles, panel misalignments, and bad paint have plagued most cars. ...so standard Dodge fare at a higher price.

Mustang fans gonna be butt hurt. “Why can’t I have AWD, I paid $60k for my GT?” 😂🤣 Mopar raises the bar, again!

The Hurricane is going to be a tuners dream once they crack the PCM. Combined with AWD it is gonna be a game changer. Then Hemi options to follow in 2027 💪. Thank you Mopar 🤘.

Honestly, I dig it. It's a great looking car and still looks muscle

The power to weight ratio leaves alot to be desired, power means nothing when you have alot of weight to move around.

If you're already spending $52k for the base, I see no reason not to upgrade to the HO model for $57. I still think it's too much though. That's probably even higher than used Hellcat prices.  You used to be able to get a scat pack in the 40k range. I understand everything is getting more expensive, but at this price point they are going to lose sales to used car dealers.

4 door option with the HO motor could be a really nice daily GT. Hope it sounds good, the truck version doesn't do it for me.

Bring back the Magnum for a poor man’s E53 AMG estate.

“If it were .2 inches wider it would need amber marker lights”. Hahahahahaha that’s hilarious

I'm sure this car will catch hate, but assuming the engine can handle mods/turning up the wick then this isn't bad.

The Daytona took all the hate, I'm sure most people see the presence of an ICE powertrain and nominally lower weight as the saving graces this car needed.
