I was laid off in 2020... 2022... 2023... 2024... But I found a new job each time, I enjoy what I do, and it pays well, so I can't complain too loudly.

Yeah, my MIL spilled a hot cup of coffee on our one year old son (he was fine), but blamed my wife for it, because nothing was ever her fault. So she hasn't seen her grandson since he was one, and she's never met her granddaughter. I called to see if they wanted to see them when our son was eight and our daughter was three, but my FIL said that "wouldn't be a good idea", so that was that.

No, but I once ordered something that I was supposed to send a SASE for. Except I was a kid, and didn't know what that was, so I didn't include one. They mailed it to me at their expense and asked that I include one next time!

My mom was a huge Roy Orbison fan going back to the 60s, and his death hit her really hard. I didn’t understand that until Tom Petty died suddenly.
