I've seen a wide range in the changing rooms. Some get naked without bother, some use a towel to hide genitals, some get into a toilet cubicle to change. So really feel free to do whatever you usually do.

Weirdly, a lot. I mean, it seems statistically significantly more than it should. It's extra strange because the first came when I had been in the UK for less than 3 years. ( 5 y is the minimum stay after they can ask). I've got the letter 3 times in 10 years.

Do I ask for ticket money?

Posted by Calgib@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 929 comments

YouCantArgueWithThis@reddit

"I get you a ticket" is a problematic way to express yourself because it is up to interpretation. You should have been clearer and tell him whether you foot this ticket or not. I am the type of person who requires crystal clear communication ( auti), but the neighbour obviously not if he didn't ask you "what do you mean by getting a ticket". I'm afraid that it's too late too dickish asking money now.

We also to this. 🫣 The hotel tour video. Including the bathroom - but only featuring it "extra" if there is indeed something extra there. ( really fancy shower, or bathrobe, etc)

Do you actually have enough work on a daily basis in your job?

Posted by PigeonFace1@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 17 comments

In office type jobs, no, never. It was hard to learn how to still look busy. When the job was more hands on, then I often didn't have the time to pee. Very different experiences.

How do you survive the smoke alarm ‘BEEP’ without committing arson out of spite?

This reminds me. My kiddo had a play phone. Large, harsh yellow with colourful buttons and screeching loud "music" tone. Once the thing got stuck switched on and I was not able to turn it off. Freshly single mum with already having enough on the plate, and a 2 y old who should go to bed soon. At that time I was not prepared with tools (now I have a whole ass cabinet full with tools), so after all attempt to shut that thing up failed, I threw it out the window. From the 9th floor. Finally, silence.

How much would you expect a 15/16 year old to charge for babysitting?

Posted by PaleontologistFancy8@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 182 comments

YouCantArgueWithThis@reddit

This my answer the question. I would not pay, because I would not hire a teen. Being responsible for a child is a huge thing. I would never put this onto another child - who is not even related and would do this only for the money.
