Anyone motivated enough can probably figure out who I am — but I was surprised that shortly after posting here (less than 5 minutes) my name turned up in Israeli searches. They have a pretty sophisticated de-anonymizing setup going on.

Man, US state governments are missing out on a huge opportunity here. So many people struggling with low-end jobs with no way to improve their life situation, while the US is trying to reconcile a population that is not price nor skill competitive with global workforce, with maintaining a capital-heavy society. US governments should lean into what ive conceived of as “micro-manufacturing” and entrepreneurship. Partner with community colleges to create 2 year degrees focused on basic engineering with the goal of designing and engineering products manufactured on 3d printers and desktop CNC.

I’m not sure about this specific instance, but it’s well established that Israel will invalidate deeds of Palestinian land under Jewish claims of historic ownership, usually a vague reference to Jewish ownership in the Ottoman Empire — to defend from such claims, Palestinians usually need to be able to trace back deeds to the Ottoman Empire as well, or it will be considered insufficient to prove valid Palestinian ownership. The courts have made it almost impossible for Palestinians to prove their own ownership in cases like this. Basically if a Jew wants your land, it will be their land. And there won’t be compensation.

A bit relevant: Whenever I try to explore consequences of AI on labor/society with AI, even if I try to push it in a right-wing direction, the AI will almost invariably end up promoting socialism/communism as the way to address the consequences. It's really not surprising -- LLM's are basically regurgitators of what humans have written previously, and socialist writers have thought about this kind of stuff a lot, while capitalists have basically always went back to "trust the market!" So what happens when you're in a conversation where you start doubting the capability of the market to address these concerns, and the AI agrees (or alternatively, you promote market-orientation and the AI disagrees\*)? The AI has nothing to fall back on except lean towards what socialists have written about it. \* Again, capitalists haven't written much about it. These discussions on the capitalist side always basically get reduced to "trust the market! It will figure it out in the long term!" And meanwhile a lot of contemporary writing is doubting that, I think biasing the LLM towards narratives that frame this as a legitimate plight. And then the AI doesn't have much material to explore contrary to that narrative.

I’m fucking sick and tired of our media by and large sitting on the story of, for example, Israel using dubious AI claims of militating involvement [targeting nearly 40,000 people for assassination](https://www.972mag.com/lavender-ai-israeli-army-gaza/). The AI is known to have a 10% error rate, but then turn around and act like every action the Iranian government does justifies bombing Iranian civilians. It’s all fucking propaganda. You’re not a hypocrite too, are you? Can you make a statement of admonition for Israel’s extra-legal assassinations killing many innocent civilians?

Dude you’re literally whitewashing massacres and hand waving them under the guise of “it’s messy and complicated.” Not to mention blatant lies. It wasn’t “assadists” causing the massacres to “cause problems for the new government.” It is well documented that the “General Security Service” (which filled much of its ranks with people involved with groups associated with Al Qaeda, as they were loyal to and enthusiastic about the new government lead by Al Qaeda associates) and the HTS (itself a former Al Qaeda associate that officially disassociated with Al Qaeda to start receiving direct US support to fight the Assad government) were the perpetrators of the massacres. The new government did blame “Assadists” for the massacres, as they sat on their asses and ignored prosecuting journalists and human rights groups referring them specific documentation on know perpetrators. The Assadists that ended up going towards prosecution in the claims they were involved in massacres ended up being charged for crimes related to insurgency against the new government’s own militants/security forces, not for crimes against Alawites. So what the fuck is wrong with you? How’re you so deranged to be whitewashing and hand waving the murder of families and children?

And the letter put out by the management committee (usually made up of choir members itself) claims otherwise. It could be there are internal disagreements in perspective about why they chose not to go one. Perhaps a few did object politically but most who voted against it were concerned with practicality. Whatever it’s worth, I don’t trust the vast majority of Israeli reporting on this stuff, just like I don’t trust Fox News in its reporting on Trump, or Iran’s reporting on dissent.

They probably have all of their free days booked and planned for rehearsing for the May concert, and have probably already been practicing and rehearsing for a month or two. So, realistically, they’ll have a month or less to rehearse for the Hope and Unity concert. Typically choirs rehearse *at least* 8-10 weeks, and longer if it’s an option. These are probably volunteers, it’s probably not even a part time job for the choir members. It’s a PITA to expect them to somehow find time to add an extra day for rehearsal every week to perform something with a month of rehearsals, at short notice. These are people who still have lives to live — vacations, time for the kids, other hobbies, etc.

This performance was proposed to the Choir only last week, and was scheduled for 28 June. This date was deemed too close to an end of May concert the choir has been rehearsing for. As a result, the majority of the choir voted against participating, due to time constraints.

Eh, for a huge part Israel can be chalked up to the UK trying to do the minimum to keep neither Zionists nor Arabs a political PITA, until it blew up in their face, in which they shrugged and tried to walk away. It wasn’t into the 1960s and 1970s that it was realized as a potential platform to project power. While the trends started before, a big part of it was honestly the 1970s Oil Crisis in which the US realized that if it wanted a stable supply to oil, it’s going to require extensive Middle East meddling.

Israel has a history of intercepting missiles over Palestinian Israeli areas (towns, neighborhoods, etc.) and over Palestine territory, if possible, too, precisely so the debris lands on Palestinians (even Palestinian citizens of Israel) instead of landing on Jews. To expand on the disparity here — a huge number of bomb shelters in Israel are owned by basically neighborhood associations, and are not public. These shelters often only allow Jews in their shelters — no Arabs or Palestinians, no Thai, Indian, Filipino workers. You can find videos of people being turned away online pretty easily. Public shelters, in Arab and Palestinian areas in particular, are scarce — Israel does not allow sufficient permitting or zoning for Arab/Palestinian communities to grow to respond to population demands, so many homes are built without permits and the number of homes are vastly underreported in official counts, and in turn Israel only funds a number of public shelters to be built for a much smaller population than the actual population. Therefore shelters are overcrowded, insufficient, and too far to reasonably access. Effectively, bomb shelters in Israel are largely a resource only for Jews to use.

Israel: kills tens of thousands of children, minimum, kills tens of thousands of other innocent people, destroys civil life for multiple countries, commits genocide and ethnic cleansing You: people hate Israel because Jews are defending themselves! Also 20% of Israeli citizens being Arab/Palestinian doesn’t dispel claims of apartheid, which rests in the treatment of Gaza and West Bank. It also doesn’t actually mean Palestinians have equal rights in Israel — Israel uses so many extra-legal means to establish Jewish supremacy. One of the most blatant examples is its use of land — housing associations and local town-level governments systematically deny Palestinians the right to reside there. Available land to establish communities is controlled by the Israeli Land Authority and the Jewish National Fund, which only grants leases to Jews — Palestinians are prohibited from leasing or owning something like 80% of Israeli land. Zoning laws are regularly used to arbitrarily prevent growth of Palestinian communities, and access to other resources and infrastructure are similarly disparate. Israel’s national laws are, yes, mostly “ethnically blind,” but that’s because they outsource their discrimination to independent institutions that are inherently and structurally, and often explicitly, disparate in the ways they provide for Jews and Palestinians. That Palestinians can be elected to Knesset and be lawyers and judges are a bug of the system, not a feature. The vast majority of Israelis would undo the system if they could. They want Palestinians to be “foreigners” in their own land. Also note: your genocidal use of language by calling Palestinians “Arabs,” meant to rhetorically erase their ethnic and national identities.

We can pretty reliably put (modern) hellfire missiles through the windows of individual rooms and, with a low-yield warhead, kill only the occupants there with minimal danger to adjacent rooms. Some variants are designed to hit a target of 30cm 50% of the time. You're not going to accidentally hit the wrong building basically ever. If US weapons are not precise, it's because they chose a weapon that's not precise. This is just negligence. The latest reports are reporting that the compound hasn't been an activate military base for over a decade. *They just didn't give a fuck*. They either had a list of targets generated by AI, or just took a "bomb everything!" approach, either way without care to verify targets (something they're obligated to do by international law and military procedure). But then you've really gotta ask -- *if this was a day 1 target*, an abandoned military base that has long been converted to a girl's school, and with the US bragging about the scale of its bombing, how effective are the US strikes really? It's a big show of force but what have we actually been achieving? Killing a bunch of innocent Iranians, while rockets continue to pound Israel and US allies?

Or are you so concerned the school doesn't have a drive-up drive-thru style roads like American schools? Are you really that car-brained you can't imagine that a country with 50% of households owning cars (with that probably being biased towards Tehran -- look at Minab's neighborhoods and you'll see few houses have places for families to keep cars, or even drive cars near their home), is going to design their schools to suit a different kind of commuter? Look at other schools in Minab on Google Maps and you'll see very similar layouts with a perimeter wall, a few gates for pedestrian use, and one or two cars parked outside the school with no obvious road for the car to enter.
