Non-Alcoholic Beer...

NA has gotten good. Guinness and Heineken are both really good, and a few of our local craft brewers do good NA versions of their signature brews (which is quite a feat considering most of them are pretty high alcohol)

I saw a documentary about this a while ago. Both pilots had food poisoning and there was one passenger who had only flown single engine planes in the war. The tower talked him down. It was pretty awesome.

Self Checkout

The self checkout at our store is glitchy. It won’t let me put my stuff in my own basket. Lots of stuff won’t scan. Produce is a pain in the butt. If I have one brick of cheese, easy. If I have anything complicated or a bunch of stuff, no good.

Sorry, last one. Had to share Gheri Curl Geordi!

YYC’s new international terminal has 2 gates that can accommodate the A380, which doesn’t fly here. Other aircraft use the gates. It’s overbuilt but the gates aren’t wasted.

I guess I’m assuming there’s a checklist they can run for everything and figure out whether it’s actually failed (didn’t deploy) or just didn’t indicate properly.

I always thought they put the landing gear down pretty late given that they couldn’t go around. It had been stowed for a week in space and then gone though reentry.
