Honestly if doing drywall paid what I'm earning I'd be doing that. Doing drywall is at least engaging. I also always maintain that my favorite job I've ever worked was stocking shelves at a hardware store while I was in uni.

Actually that's not that unrealistic, it's common in eastern europe. Those 'garden houses' cost like 3000 euros including the land they're built on and most people inherit them rather then buy. Wouldn't be surprised if Russia has this too, it's not exactly a luxury.

In a lot of European countries construction pays insanely well. Not doctor wages, but a skilled, qualified construction worker can easily make whitecollar wages. Physically rough, common injuries, but the pay is nothing to scoff at. Even low skill construction workers routinely make double of what general unskilled labour (stocking shelves, working the line at a factory etc) pays.

Man, those Woodrow Wilson haters are taking it a little too far lately.

Austria maybe, I can't comment as it's one of the few European countries I've never been. But the US seems to be very LGBT positive, gay marriage is legalized, crimes against them are treated as hate crimes, and most of the pro LGBT movements seem to be based out of it, or are at the very least the loudest from there. That's the polar opposite of the majority of Europe.

The Thalmor were salty with humans to begin with, but their main point of aggression and the official reason for the entire conflict that takes place in current Elder Scrolls lore is the fact that a man titled Talos ascended to stand alongside the Aedra as the ninth Divine. It's hinted that Talos may overall be *the god of Man*, an apotheosis of several people - but TES doesn't have concrete lore as everything comes from in-universe books that are written by fictional authors, many with opposing viewpoints on the same thing. But the gist of it is that a man became a god, while returning to their divine origins is the main goal the High Elves have had for milennia.

No it's not?? I work in real estate, I've looked through literal thousands of building plans, non load bearing walls are always built out of drywall for decades. There is zero benefit to building them out of brick, it has no effect on the structural stability. And in apartment buildings, basically every single apartment has at least one wall made of drywall. Shit, a lot of "brick" houses from the mid to early 20th century are actually wooden, with the bricks added as an outside layer decades down the line. It's so borderline indistinguishable, I've had customers who received a nasty surprise when trying to sell their house.

I never really what I'd describe as euphoria, other then the expected momentary relief from having a smoke after a long time without. Might be because I started smoking as an adult, not sure. It definitely does feel good though. And yeah. From my experience, while you're an active smoker, it smells and tastes nice, it feels good to smoke, and no matter what people like to claim, smoking looks cool. Granted, after I quit cigs, I literally throw up if I try smoking one. I still maintain that it looks cool though. Another thing that people overexaggerate to ridiculous levels is the difficulty of quitting. You're mildly dizzy and severely constipated for a couple days, and the chance of a relapse is high if you don't actively avoid it, yeah, but the way people describe it, it sounds like torture. It's really not. Uncomfortable, sure, but even going from 2 packs a day to zero overnight wasn't that bad. You just need to find some time where you can be out of commission for a few days, ideally a week. I quit when I had covid and was sitting at home for a week anyway.
