Our council started charging for the garden waste collection last year (ÂŁ45) we halved in with a neighbour. I don't know what it costs this year, I'm taking it to the tip myself. They used to collect it for no extra charge .

Are there any jobs that AI/robots won’t ever be able to replace?

Posted by MistressLolaDiamond@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 84 comments

In terms of sport then I don't think anything could replace the human emotion element. In terms of throwing a dart then I don't think a human would ever be able to beat the accuracy of what AI / robots are capable of every single time .

Oil price drop, how long till petrol drops?

Posted by Just-Library9303@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 201 comments

YodasGoldfish@reddit

We were told the reason the prices went up so fast was because they reflected the cost of replacing the fuel at the now higher price. If that was true then the same would be true in reverse.

I had a similar situation last year. I was told to get a letter signed by my Mother explaining the reason for the difference. Sent that away and got my passport a week later.

If your dog finds an unattended ball is that fair game?

Posted by OpenCantaloupe4790@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 127 comments

YodasGoldfish@reddit

Yes , of course it is. My Dog was always finding balls on his walks . Tennis , football and even a rugby ball once. He was a Border Terrier, god rest his soul. Funny thing is that if he ever took one of his own balls on a walk he would drop it at the first lampost and wouldn't give two shits about picking it up again 😂

People who got an early finish Christmas Eve, did colleagues who took it off complain about your early finish?

Posted by jrinredcar@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 214 comments

YodasGoldfish@reddit

>I don’t blame my colleagues, I blame the manager. They asked if they could go early and the boss said yeah. It was up to the boss to say “is your work done? No? Finish it then you can go” (which was the company policy, btw, so it’s not even on the company either 😂). I understand where you are coming from re: blaming the manager but if two of my colleagues left me to finish their work on any day , nevermind Christmas Eve, I would be seriously pissed off with them as well.

I've used Asda and Tesco online delivery for years. They charge you the original price. Fuck Morrisons for trying to charge more. I've never had a random substitution in at least 10 years of online grocery deliveries but loads of times the driver has told me to just keep the sub and they put the refund through as well.

Who produces this Cider ?

Posted by YodasGoldfish@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 28 comments

Thank you ! I know in the whisky industry different companies buy and sell spirit to each other depending on stock levels , surplus etc so it sounds like Aldi might buy different Cider depending on price and availability.
