Oh course it makes sense. I do try not to be in charge of a vehicle if I can’t drive safely though. Did you do a bit of Highway Code before driving in a new country?

You’re talking about a very specific area though. Social housing is available just not where you want to live. There’s lots of people from southern England who have taken housing in our wee town because our population is so low we have a good supply of stock. It’s also nice for us with kids to get new families moving in.

TopBookChat1105@reddit

It is. It just depends what area you live in how long the lists are. In our area in the highlands it’s about 6 months for anyone who wants to apply. It’s obviously on free if you get housing benefits, but the rent is reasonable so lots of working people prefer social housing.

Where in the UK can you live comfortably and get on the property ladder with a 65-70k household income?

Who someone’s married to doesn’t change whether they’re a stranger or not if I have ever met them… I wouldn’t never expect someone to bring cash to my wedding nor will I exclude them if they didn’t.

It really is imagine thinking a complete stranger to you should be expected to pay for your meal and share their intimate special day with you. Wild levels of self entitlement.

What a load of nonsense. Both myself and my husband have been to weddings without each other. I would never expect someone I didn’t know to folk out an average of £100 a head just because of who I chose to marry. Wild to think you’re entitled to that:

A cornea transplant has never restored an individual in either the UK wider EU or USA from legally blind to full sight. It’s not even an option for legally blind as far as I can see. Partially sighted (which is different to legally blind, even though that doesn’t mean no vision it means limited vision) is the only thing it’s approved for?

Why has no other country’s royal family captured the world the same way the British Royals have?

I mean you’re the one spouting nonsense. https://www.rnib.org.uk/professionals/research-and-data/key-information-and-statistics-on-sight-loss-in-the-uk/ The RNIB say no statistics even exist for number of people in the UK who recover from being legally blind. It’s minisculely rare - some much so that the 4 mentioned each have search papers dedicated to their treatments.

That’s a bunk bed. With 2 mattresses, you can count them. I absolutely can not understand how you can send a picture of a bunk bed, with 2 mattresses and argue it is one.

Law I have 3 degrees although only needed 2. My position? Very little but I’m a terrible dinosaur, the team utilities a lot of AI I just don’t know how to use it and it takes me more time to work it out than just to do the task myself. I work remote now. But have done both in office and hybrid. I work 8-5, but I’m in a niche sector where there’s no gain from working more. Colleagues in say M&A work late late. My advice would be don’t do it and listen to the “don’t be a lawyer” song on repeat until the idea passes.

Now? Tell me you’ve never lived rural without telling me. I was a 2.5 hour trip including a ferry to my local state school. There council funded boarding houses all over the UK. 45 minutes is nothing.

TopBookChat1105@reddit

It really depends on the situation. If you’ve chosen a 45 minute one way while passing 3 other schools then yeah maybe a little much. When I went to school I was a 5 hour round trip and had to do weekly boarding because there just aren’t lots of schools in rural areas
