Looks great, always happy to see new projects like this. Now if only it was as easy to install as [Speech Note](https://github.com/mkiol/dsnote), which is the gold standard for making self-hosted AI easy to get working.

It's hard to justify buying a Framework 12

> ecologically friendly Yeah, that's never been a compelling value add to Framework laptops I agree. The main selling points to me were higher build quality than other laptop manufacturers like Dell and HP and being able to avoid the Windows tax by getting the DIY edition. I picked Framework because they're good laptops that will keep chugging along for the foreseeable future, and I'm willing to pay a premium for that.

I cannot list them here, Reddit automatically filters out comments that contain their names. If you check one of the pinned posts on this subreddit and see the option without a link, that's one example of a site that Reddit bans all mention of.

Separate from all the controversies around Meta, the various apps they have all suck. The UX is atrocious and they all run like garbage. I wouldn't be entirely opposed to trying this out, if Meta could actually make a good app.

A lot of people don't fully know that the reason America was an industrial powerhouse in the 20th century was because it copied and improved designs people saw in other countries. The whole concept of patents and copyright has effectively crippled the west, because all innovation is partly derivative.

I think federated social media is a dead end, it harms discoverability and ease of understanding too much to be worth it. I personally prefer an open source, fork-able, centralized platform.

The Drama site is the only one I can think of, site has pretty chill moderation. Though it's also very offputting to new users (intentionally so). X also has lax rules, but customer support is worthless and most content is rage bait. > How can we get our reddit back? You can't. A site like that cannot exist on the modern internet, because it's too accessible to low quality users.
