Don’t complain about “kids these days.”

That's a good way to put it -- I speculate that the "shitty reality" is a large percentage of parents these days are passing that responsibility onto the "village" instead of putting in the daunting effort of actual parenting. (still speculation) -> there's just no real discipline anymore, and smart phones/internet/social media is trumping the parents who are scared of the 2-letter word - NO.

Did you actually sneak out as teenagers?

Me and several of my friends all just kind of quit drinking alcohol like 3 or 4 years ago. Don't miss it at all -> we're all in a helluva lot better shape than we were in our 40s -> we like the non-alchohol beers though -> some have gotten really good, they've come a long way since O'Doules or Coors Cutter if you remember that crap!

Yeah hard to distinguish (unless you already knew) between the likes of STP, Creed, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, even Pearl Jam... IMHO in this genre Alice in Chains is the one that really stood out from the pack...

I sleep recliner with with 3 regular sized pillows (nicest one for lumbar), one under my hamstrings, one under my calves. Then for my neck pillow I use one of the mini travel "My Pillows". I've been doing this for the last couple of years and have virtualy zero back pain at all - get great sleep.

My gripe: brick-n-mortars who post basic info — hours, menus, or special event details — on platforms where you can’t see it without installing some app, then creating an account, and probably having to verify your email and/or who you are, etc…

What annoys me is that now to go to a freaking concert or NFL game you have to have a phone app just to get the ticket. I don't like how society these days expects everyone and their dog to have a smart phone as if it's a basic human need/right, essentially "plugging you into the system" where your every bit of activity is tracked. Frankly i'd be happy going back to my cdma flip phone if i could... As soon as you see a political push (which i'm sure is coming at some point if not already here) suggesting smart phones are a mandatory human staple like an ID, look at the party that's championing that effort and THAT's the political party that's trying to control you/elminate all your privacy that's already almost nonexistent.

We have been here 46-61 years. Would you rather be told you have 3 years left to live or die suddenly out of nowhere?

Help! It’s getting harder and harder to tie my shoes

i try to get 4k in a week or so now - had to work my way up to that. takes about 35 min for me to do 1k on a breast stroked (because i admittedly don't really know how to swim any other way). I do add 5-10 minutes of treading water to the end of the workout on the last lap - so in and out of gym in maybe an hour about 4-5 times a week. usually just go over lunch -> weekends sometimes I'll do 2k in a session - once or twice i was ambitious and did 3k - that was a little exhausting.

start swimming laps with breast stroke -> it's the "cheat code". will trim your fat up in no time while aligning your muscles to support your back in a way that's low impact on the rest of your joints. I started doing this at 49 -> here at 52 I'm in better shape than i ever was in my later 30s/40s. 3 years ago i couldn't even walk a mile due to chronic ankle/knee/back issues.
