I have a whole set of straws. I’ve Frankensteined some together - cut a silicone one and wrap around a steel one so the steel doesn’t bash against the steel cup. Also cut the silicone up diagonally if it’s long, it’s so it isn’t flat against the bottom of the cup.

I thought someone had opened your egg, eaten half and re-wrapped it pretending they only sell the fronts now.. not that I’d had that idea earlier when I realised my partner hadn’t touched his yet!

I had a pizza delivered with no sauce on it once and I, for some reason, figured it was my own fault for making changes to the base sauce (I wanted tomato and herb on a Texas bbq… I know it’s in the title but it’s just 1 change) I should have called them but it was late

What’s something that is very common and normal for people in the uk to do, but other nationalities would find it weird/rude/confusing etc?

The advert shows them putting the bubbly dish from their bubbly hand onto the drying rack. The emphasis was on how it kept your skin soft. But they never rinsed it. It doesn’t say not to but either way they don’t, and despite what it says on the bottle, ppl have mirrored an advert.

Similar experience for me. My doctor told me during the earlier stages of my drinking, that I would die horribly. I didn’t care tbh. Late 20s I wanted to sort myself out, stopped drinking and worked on my health but there was still something not right. I’m glad I looked into it when I did, the wait times were still long, but not the 2+ years they are now.

I've been committing benefit fraud for the good part of the last 10 years. How do I get out of it?

My workplace also sent out some ridiculous new rules today. I didn’t even finish reading the update as it just made me angry. Like they couldn’t wait longer than day 1 back to work in the new year before they came up with something stupid? Or they didnt want to spoil the end of the year so saved the update for 2026?

Frozen mash so handy. The only thing I won’t stand for is that powder stuff, Smash I think it’s called. Back in primary school they used the empty tins for pens and paintbrushes - Best thing to come from those tins. School dinner mash was horrible, can imagine it’s the same in care homes and hospitals.

I was in A&E waiting and a black doctor came to the waiting room and called for the patient. Without hesitation a white man calls back “in English please” like, do you want help or not? No wonder there’s posters up nowadays about tolerating abuse.
