Depends what it is. Lots of brands have 'throwback' editions that are made with sugar. I got myself some 'Cheerwine' recently - a South Carolina thing I'd heard of, but never had. A whopping 42g of sugar per can. Kind of halfway between Dr Pepper and Cherry Coke. Too sweet for me - I gave the majority of the box to the Mrs to mix Amaretto into.

Sat on the street in Miami in my lorry and ordered myself Jamaican food on UberEats. Over a certain age, birthdays are not really something to be celebrated in my mind at least. Just another reminder that, to quote Bob Ferris, *"in the chocolate box of life, the top layer has already gone"*

Oh I've been there. That's the one with the walkway thing between the parking lot and the store. Lazy ass mofo employees on the night shift there. Everything was working fine during the day, then at night most of the equipment sprouted 'out of order' signs... seemingly fixed by the next morning. I ripped the sign off the bean to cup coffee machine and just used it anyway.

If you know where they're coming from, you can hoover them up with a shop vac with an inch of soapy water in the bottom. They can't fly with the soap on them and will drown in the water. We had a problem with them under the eaves and I did that one evening. Just don't knock or bang where the nest is, it makes them angry as the guy who came to install broadband found out!

*"I'm right on the edge now. Bursting my banks. Heard enough. End of my tether. If I've told you once... Slipping my moorings. I'm a reasonable man. DON'T answer back when I've asked you something. You're really pushing it, aren't you..? Don't think you're too big! Wipe that grin off your face! Who do you think you are - the big 'I am'..? You're an embarrassment to me. I'm telling you this for your own good. I wash my hands of you! The answer is no! No! NO!"* Or some combination of the above. I think I had mild PTSD from my childhood. It took me until the age of 30 and a move to another country where it would be preposterous to assume that you'd been gaslighted to stop being paranoid about what people thought of me. I was terrified of one of my parents - I still am and they've been dead for nearly a year.

Did that to a Canadian in a right lane closing construction zone last night. Saw him dive out and accelerate -"You'll either get back behind me or hit the barrels" - I didn't change my speed 🤷‍♂️

It's disabling the ability to put the automatic transmission in manual mode. I guess it saves them a tiny bit of fuel per truck over the whole fleet. Company I'm with now, I use it all the time for climbing hills etc. I found with it purely automatic there would be times where it would decide to upshift as a big hill flattens out slightly, then because it took a second or two to change gear, the engine speed would be too slow for the higher gear so it would downshift again - meanwhile you're climbing the hill a few mph slower than if it had just stayed where it was... I prefer putting it in ma ual and controlling when to change gears myself in such situations. The super singles save a tiny bit of mpg over duals, but then when you have a fleet of over 1000 trucks it makes a big saving. I'd personally rather have duals as you.can limp to a shop - road calls to get a tire changed are spendy. Yes I was up.and down Cabbage all the time. Just with them having the top speed restricted at 61 as it was then (I think some are 65 now) it meant it'd be downshifting earlier.

I used to. They're pretty good about keeping on top of their maintenance. I'd rather buy an old May truck than from one of the other mega carriers. I was there for 3 years when I first got my cdl. They get rid of all their trucks when they hit just over 300k. I had four different Cascadias - I can't remember having any mechanical issues other than needing the dpf filter replaced one time. Iirc they take them into their shop at Brooks and go through them before they sell them - I know they switch out the super singles back to duals and remove decals etc. Just make sure the speed limiter has been bumped up to what you want - and they've taken off the restricted manual mode.

If only there was enough parking options I wouldn’t have to park on side of the rest area exit. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
