Why does Wetherspoons have a bad reputation?

The reason should be obvious. I'm blind and have no difficulty seeing why. People routinely get beaten, stabbed or otherwise effed up in the Wether's. It happens so frequently that when I went to write an article about it a week or so ago (bear mind that I have no TV and no access to regular news), the first thing I discover is that yet ANOTHER person has been stabbed to death in a Wetherspoon's pub. They operate a "no music" policy. So as people get increasingly lathered, and oh boy! Do they ever get twatted..they mishear something that's said. Thus begins the "Wot you say??", "You looking at my pint?" and that's just the women. Glasses and tables start flying.This occurs at all hours from 4pm through to beyond closing time, when altercations follow you to a secluded space with no CCTV. Or they might just hide around the corner, ready to pounce when any poor sod who bears even the slightest resemblance to you gets it. The reason they (sometimes) remain in business is because of 1 thing and that 1 single thing alone....cheap drink. The Spoons is where you can get a skinful before beginning the Saturday night ritual which consists of staggering around the streets, trying to find a club that will let you in - then aggressively yelling at the town's doormen, telling them how "ard" you are and subsequently pissing yourself. . I just picked 10 such occasions from the past few years off the top of my head for my article. But there are more..so many more. There's always more. I was glassed in the face with a glass pint tankard when I was 15. It's not unusual to go to a cash point on a Saturday or a Sunday morning to discover it's covered in blood. Some unsuspecting individual had thought they were just going to grab another £20 to continue pickling their own liver. Instead, their face accelerated towards the cash point doing 0-60 in around 3 seconds - 💥BAM!💥. Yeah, drinking culture in Blighty is rough. But Wetherspoon's is a magnet for trouble. I used to live in a particular Yorkshire town where parties are bussed in to participate in a "challenge" that requires them to drink in every pub, bar and club along a mile long stretch of pubs, bars and clubs. When walking along this chiefly pedestrianised area, it was advisable to stick to the centre, avoiding getting too close to either side. You find out why when the sound of breaking glass begins, closely followed by bar stools being flung through those newly broken windows. Wetherspoon's has largely established their chain within buildings that were formerly cinemas, then Bingo halls, meaning there's rather less windows to break and repeatedly replace. The young men and women who lose their lives there, outside or shortly after leaving are a little more difficult to replace.
