What’s not always that much? That’s the minimum they should be offering for fuel allowance. I more understand your question. How do you afford a car and insurance when you have no money to begin with. But most people either do, or pay for things monthly.

The mileage you’ll be paid will be 55p per mile. This is supposed to cost fuel and wear and tear to the car. You shouldn’t be out of pocket from driving for work.

Because they went on holiday there and when you’re on holiday you have a nice time and have no concept how that country functions in any real sense.

People leave stuff out for collection from scrap people constantly. They wouldn’t know it’s meant for someone else. You wanted it gone and it’s gone. I don’t know why you’d complain to be honest.

Well being offensive to someone trying to understand your situation is odd. Most of that isn’t in your original post. You can’t report something that hasn’t happened. Do you get this bit? But feel free to phone to the police to report it.

The bit where they say “you can’t park there” you respond “I can park here, you don’t own this space” and nothing needs reporting.

What considerations to make for hosting a vegan?

Posted by No_Leave_353@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 174 comments

wardyms@reddit

I’d genuinely check with them what they want or would like. Pointless getting vegan milk and butter in if they’re not gonna eat them etc. It’s something we do when hosting - not exclusive to vegans, but often kids have specific things they will and won’t eat too. Take the Britishness out of it and just ask.

Office jobs are still thought of as 9-5. Although 8-4 is probably more common. I don’t think anyone doing a standard job is working until 7pm without either overtime pay or extreme responsibility.

First time buyers who used a mortgage advisor, did you find them to be very helpful?

Posted by merp1991@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 61 comments

wardyms@reddit

Yes our broker got as a better deal than we could get by our self. He also got us a mortgage deal that had a cashback offer which basically made him free. You don’t pay until completion and the first call is generally free so it’s a no brainer to at least talk to one in my opinion.

Would you support a national physical disability access card that is not linked to PIP?

wardyms@reddit

I guess my point is the same thing “being registered disabled” isn’t a thing in this country but is in others to allow access to these same services. And again anyone who chooses not to doesn’t need to.

Would you support a national physical disability access card that is not linked to PIP?

wardyms@reddit

But if someone wanted to get a list of every disabled person, while it wouldn’t be complete it would still be rather large. Every person who’s ever applied for PIP no matter what outcome is all logged. Same for blue badge. If you’re concerned about wrong people accessing this, this data exists already.
