Science famous or on the covers of the magazine section in Tesco famous? Cos I can't imagine the path from boyband/soap star to eugenicist is well trod.

Currently working with some people. One of them used to be a football hooligan, he said a lot of his time in his youth was spent scrapping. Thing is if he hadn't of told me I'd never of guessed, would have thought he was a part of the Guardian coffee crowd otherwise, very very friendly welcoming chap. Some people in some sub-cultures love to fight. That's just how it is I guess.

Tell him the 5 minute rule. Do something for 5 mins, with the option of giving up after 5 mins. Most of the time people will want to continue. Seeing someone else make progress will motivate him.

Young lad did this to me at 4am after I'd finished a shift at work. He had fallen asleep in a bush and didn't know where he was after going to a house party. Tried calling his mates for him, but fuck am I letting a stranger into my car at 4am. Your guy was probably just off his face on shrooms or trying to mug you.

Weird interaction with estate agent. Should I have said something?

You did correct her. It might not be malicious on her end, she might be socially awkward or maybe she's just an idiot. TBH I don't think you should let other people's comments control your emotions. Easier said than done though obviously. From what little experience I've had with estate agents I've found many of them unprofessional. Like, car dealer unprofessional.

Have you seen a passenger confront another passenger on the bus?

\-Yeah, night bus. 2 AM bus full. Load of lads get on, brush past a drunk guy, drunk guy reprimands the chap who pushed past him. Pusher then stabs drunk guy. Bit of an overreaction imho. \-2 blokes arguing over Eastenders or whatever, and one of them pulls out a full sized baton. Batonless guy became slightly more reticent and appealed for help from the driver who calmed them down. \- On 430 AM bus with regulars all of us on our merry way to work. Big lad opens bus window to ventilate bus. Lady closes it. Big lad opens it again. Lady closes it and offers to stab big lad if he opens it again. Not much of an overreaction imho, was a bit chilly.

If you are living abroad for a few years you might not be aware that a significant part of the UK news cycle has been dominated by how bad some "foreigners" are. I'm sticking the quotation marks in cos the Southhampton kid killer and some of the grooming gangs were UK born. But otherwise every other day a part of the news is either Ukraine or about small boat crossings. It's loads different to as little as 7 years ago. But yeah my Dad is the same. I just ignore the shitty links and send him stuff I think he might like that wont send him on a rant.

So many stupid fucking questions. "**When did Britain become permanently separated from the continent by the Channel?**" "The Commonwealth has no power over its members and it cannot suspend their membership" "Which of the following statements regarding the Black Death is NOT true?" "Which British sportsman won five consecutive gold medals at the Olympic Games in the rowing category?" "How many members does the Scottish Parliament have?" 18 out of 24. 75% passed. I'm obviously a thicko as the average is 82.6% Think the actual test would be slightly easier. I had one of those life in the UK books from about a decade ago and although a couple of the questions were ridiculous some of them were very obvious. Maybe they've increased the difficulty.
