How to find production date

Tips on masking rim for paint? Trying to paint only the inner area and the lines that come out of the inner area. Like 1.5 hour in and don’t like the 1/3 of the wheel I’ve done so far… any tips to make this easier? Testing using a Qtip (with paint) for the lines but not sure I like it

Metal Gutter flashing. You can roll it out and tape it together to match the size of the rim. Keeps the rim squeaky clean. And it’s reusable. I’ve done it many times. You don’t even need tape on the rim or tire.

Hate to say it but that’s a parts car unless you have a high budget. I would check the floor pans, if they are solid and no frame cancer it could be a great track car. If it’s free I wouldn’t pass it up.

That’s badass. Sort of the poor man’s M3 power only cheaper abd more fun. I’m a huge E30 fan and never considered a JDM/German hybrid. But I might now.

Chest freezer with temperature alarm

Amazon sells fridge and freezer alarms that work off WiFi (and just proximity). 4 units at once. You can desert high temp alerts so it triggers an alarm if one goes bad. I forget the name but we’ve been using the setup for 4-5 years because of exactly the same problem. Had a chest freezer die and didn’t discover it for about 5 days. Helluva mess. You don’t need to buy a new fridge/freezer, I think the kit was $60. Prob higher now but cheaper than a smart fridge/freezer.

Ended up using a cheap 7.5kw 120/240 generator I found online. I have a Lincoln stick welder I learned on as a kid. It’s all heavy and clumsy with a lot of trial and error. Better than nothing. I would rather go MIG but other things eat into the budget.

When I was a teenager a buddy blew the 301 in his 80 T/A. He bought some green battleship Pontiac wagon with a 455 in it for $400. Swap was definitely a learning experience but it ran. I wonder if his parents ever found out we buried the blown 301 in their yard.

Extra pull start cord. Spare parts, fuel and oil maintenance is all great until you actually need it and the T handle snaps off in your hand.

Lockheed Tristar N910TE - former PSA - taking off from Tucson in 2017, heading to Kansas MCI, where it was kept by the non profit organization "Tristar Experience"

Love those. I grew up south of MCI and with the old TWA overhaul base, they were common. Nothing sounds like the Tristar, I could always tell when one was in the air.

Pallet loads of MREs being auctioned on GSA site

I bought a pallet last year for $300. It was a variety of 8, no cool desserts or cheese packets except one that has pound cake. Cheap food I can pile in closets. I ate a case gradually for lunch. The sweet and sour pork is not great. There is a vegetable black bean pasta that’s really good. It’s cheap calories that store well.

I asked for the salted chocolate ice cream…

What is the best generator to get for a cpap during power outages whether its a down power line or the apocalypse? What does everybody have, recommend, and why please?

Posted by Glass_Raisin7939@reddit | preppers | View on Reddit | 77 comments

Vollen595@reddit

I have a 2k dual fuel I exclusively use propane in. No gas smell that way and you can toss the generator around without spills. It’s an inverter suitcase type. I can get 18-20 hours out of a standard 20# lp tank. I think I paid $650 for it. Champion brand. It’s been excellent for emergency use.
