Worth Restoring this 1984 Toyota Celica Supra?

I have a 1984 Toyota Celica Supra MkII P-Type with 158,834 miles. The car *does technically “crank”* but it doesn’t stay running. I haven’t diagnosed it yet. The body is covered in rust spots but I haven’t seen what’s under the carpets and such. From what I’ve seen, the frame itself is solid with only some rust here and there. Interior is rough and honestly I’m not sure what to do about it. I’m a mechanic; I can work on the engine and systems no problem; I’m worried about the body and interior. Whilst I have basic equipment to work on bodies, it’s not something I do in my day-to-day. I don’t have welding equipment in my shop and I’m not entirely sure what goes into body repairs. I can remove rust and maybe slap some fiber glass on and then paint it with my paint gun but that’s as far as I know—no idea if it’s correct. I’m willing to learn if it means it’s cheaper and I can gain a new skill for future projects. I’m not looking to make any money from this project—I simply like the Supra MkII as a car and saw the opportunity to take this one. The car is free but I’m still debating if the junkyard is a better home for it. I’d like to stay in a $2000-3000 budget for the body. I was also thinking maybe just trying to find a shell of the car and using this one as a donor. I added pictures so y’all could get a proper look at it. Is it worth taking in as a project car?
