I really hope they dont use this as an excuse to cancel their sticks but rather offer it in something like the m240i or m340i. Infiniti is even putting a 6speed in their q50vcoming back, it would basically have no competitor besides the ct4-v blackwing in this space.

Not a subaru customer but i like that they're gauging interest. Realistically, SUVs are a sizable enough market that even a small take rate % of them would still be quite significant in absolute volume numbers to justify the option availability. I believe the crosstrek base had the manual but not the wilderness, maybe the enthusiast trim is where sticks will gravitate.

But the demand was there. 41% take rate for the gti and 52% for the R in America. The decision was based on worldwide take which is much lower. I believe the European gilfs get much higher torque so sticks would've needed to be upgraded to handle them. Thing is, I think the SEATs and Skodas hatches still use stick so there was no reason not to utilize those parts bins.

Jetta driver. Sometimes guys in trucks will drive in front and flick cigarettes or trash back at me, or they'll do a fake merge onto my lane as I accelerate. Sometimes guys will pull up parallel thinking I'm a chick, then quickly look away once they realize I'm a dude. Other than that, people are Sometimes nice but generally indifferent, me being basic traffic.

Not sure why you're being downloaded as this is highly likely based on history, it's literally how Acura came into existence, followed by Lexus and Infiniti. I dont mind that the quotas will be luxury products as long as they are still a value compared to other luxury products.

If the Z Nismo engine is any indication, this will be more of an m340i fighter that comes in manual, which could be its competitive edge considering people have been asking for a manual in the m340i for a while now.
