Chevys for fun, Toyotas for reliability (Even though my Chevrolets have been more reliable than my Toyotas. Let the downvotes commence)

I do this for my close friends' cars (I refuse to buy anything that has these types of features in my own cars) I'm a tinkerer though, most people are lazy AF and prefer to just pay up.

Posted by Anchor_Aways@reddit | cars | View on Reddit | 70 comments

J-MAMA@reddit

That's what I'm saying, we can get that experience right now. We're living in the post peak car era because we can get a car that fulfills those requirements plus some for less than $50k and the choice spans decades.

Pretty cool, although I hope there's a way to bump up that 400hp. At nearly 4000lb it'll feel like a mid 2000s performance car, but at least they're going a good direction with it.

An Integra is just a compact, with the Type R being a performance package added to a regular designed compact car, hence the term "sport compact". It's the same as my GT-S, it's a RWD 2-door with a six speed. It's not a sports car, it's a sport compact. It's an addition, a compromise to take something more utilitarian and inject a bit of sport into it. Sports cars are typically designed that way from the ground up, they aren't packages you can add on to grocery getters.

Farley Says Ford Couldn't Compete With Toyota And Hyundai, So It Stopped Trying

Maybe not new, but there's a reason I went with a C6. C5s are even cheaper. 500hp+ for ~$25k, I could buy and rebuild my entire car from engine to diff for less than a lightly used GT Mustang.

No they don't. I've been driving without insurance for years, whenever I get pulled over I get a hefty fine for not having it, usually around $800-$1000. What they don't get is that even with the fines I've saved over $10000 within a few years. I've never been responsible for an accident and just use the saved cash for repairs if need be.

Yeah, my built up C6 gets around 27mpg cruising @ 75mph. They're not nearly as bad as people think, if anything they get better mileage than the tuned JDM stuff I've previously had.
