How does pre-employment screening work?

Posted by Dokkanchef@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 3 comments

DemmickyOne@reddit

Pre employment screening in my current role involved a DBS check and getting 2 references. One of which had to be from my current employer I'm not sure where they stand on revealing that you've got a warning. You could ask your HR team

It comes from ancient French "Cou" for "make love" and "plee" for "the two people" Referring to those who had been wed and were allowed to enjoy the release of jism legally.

Accidentally shoplifted in Morrisons . Can I get in trouble if I come back there ?

Posted by OUTWAY66@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 22 comments

DemmickyOne@reddit

I worked in a supermarket when I was a student and I can with 1000% certainty that they didn't care when it happened and they absolutely won't care now Stuff got shoplifted from our store EVERY day. 9 times out of 10, no one noticed or cared. The only time security even flinched was if someone was blatantly running out with £200 worth of whiskey. Even then they'd run into the car park then give up People also accidentally walked out with things EVERY day. Again, no one who worked there cared one bit None of us were paid enough to care at all

Say I win 12 million this week, What's the benefit of private banking? They tell me I've won and the man says he can arrange an account with Coutts. But how does that differ from my high street bank? I assume the 12 million wouldn't go into a single bank account as there's only protection up to 80k isn't there? Or does Coutts differ somehow

Why is my mother receiving emails for a different email address?

Posted by Mogsta555@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 17 comments

DemmickyOne@reddit

Is it Gmail? If so then if you have name.surname@gmail.com then you actually have namesurname@gmail.com In fact, you can put the dot anywhere and it's still your address eg. n.amesurname or namesu.rname etc will all get to you I have my name.surname@gmail and I often get emails meant for other people with the same name. Don't worry, they haven't registered the same email, it's likely theirs is very similar and has been mistyped

But I get that culturally, this may be the norm in other countries, particularly those where it's very, very hot and you can get sweaty. However, it's not normal here. In 40 years of being a male, not once have I been advised to rinse my knob after peeing. And similarly, I've worked in offices for 20 years and never heard of anyone talking a bottle into the toilets to clean themselves anally or knobily after making toilet. You asked if it was weird in a UK sub Reddit and the resounding answer is "Yeah"

It's weird. I've read all the replies and OP's responses to them. It's not normal to wash your anus and penis with a plastic water bottle then dispose of that bottle every time you go to the toilet.
