Do you feel satisfied with how your life went? Still planning on making any changes or just riding it out?

I can remember spending whole Saturday nights and Sundays sleeping over at a friends house just repeatedly dying on that level while trying to memorize the pattern step by step. The tension you’d feel when you were having a good run and had gotten into “unexplored territory” was indescribable. It was an altered state of consciousness. A sharpening and narrowing of focus, senses, reaction time…..and then…WHAM! straight into a brick wall at 900mph. I imagine it’s how our ancestors might have felt while trying to run down a gazelle at full speed and then getting pancaked by a stampeding mammoth you didn’t even see was coming at you from the other direction…. Being a little kid was so primal…..

i haven’t seen these in years. might be niche, but this really takes me back to a very specific era. drop your memories if these crossed your path.

I bought some there that year too. I remember sitting on the hood of my friend’s Mazda 3.23 hatchback in the flats just chain smoking them after the show(which I passed out in the full sun from dehydration and heatstroke in the pit during anti flag and woke up in the medical tent being given water.) Then I got Davey Havok’s autograph on my ticket…. Oh….to be 14….

I’m still a couple years away from needing my first but I have a plan. Before I go in, I’m gonna have “Abandon all hope, Ye who enter here” sharpied across my butt cheeks for them to discover while I’m out. My dad was a Gastroenterologist and I know they will appreciate that sort of thing.

I had to get a prostate exam the other day at the doctor. He was like “go ahead and take your pants off.” I asked where I should put them and he said “over in the corner next to mine”

We did all the drugs.

Back in the day when you could order “research chemicals” like 5-meo-DMT and AMT and stuff straight off the internet by clicking a box that said you are a “laboratory” as long as you had a credit card and jars of lab grade powder just showed up at the door…..the Wild West man…..

Do you remember when they made us scared of acid rain?

Didn’t know they still made these.

I used to just hang out by the big urn of herbal tea and drink Dixie cup after Dixie cup of free samples as a ten year old and they would just…….let me. Truly a store of wonders.

Yup! Followed by anxiety because tv time was almost over and it was approaching bedtime and there was school in the morning and I hadn’t done any of my homework because I’d been watching tv since I got home.

Just found out the ads are from 81

When we were in maybe fifth grade, a bunch of my friends and I pooled together money to rent a limo for an hour and brought Grey Poupon to do this with. (Then we had dude take us to get frozen yogurt at T.C.B.Y.)

This definitely replaced my Nintendo. 007 for sure!

Did anyone learn something new during the lockdowns they still use today?

Posted by bunchofclowns@reddit | Xennials | View on Reddit | 347 comments

Curtainmachine@reddit

Yes. A home Sp02 monitor is an excellent tool when having a severe anxiety or panic attack to confirm that you can, in fact, breathe, and are not dying, regardless of what it feels like. Really helps to ground in the reality that it’s just a panic attack but physically you are ok and that helps bring it down a lot.

Anyone in a new-ish relationship (together <2 years) at our age?

We met on Bumble. I used Hinge as well and had a lot of success there too. Way more matches and dates from there tbh. The one I ended up with just happened to be from Bumble. I’d recommend either/both.
