My grandparents all died before 70 and my parents are nearly 80. Evidence suggests people are living longer now. Not sure who the “many of us” yiu are referencing is.

What are the negatives of taking a statin. I have been avoiding it and working hard to try to lower it, but also to increase my HDL. Maybe I should have just taken it.

It’s not just about losing weight, but ensuring you are working out. Simply lowering calories to a certain point may not be sufficient if you also have genetic components. You need to workout and increase your good cholesterol and lower the ratio.

Most likely where it all started....you know what I mean.

Do Xennials recognize how bad social media is for us more than other generations?

It’s forums that target you based on what you already follow or are interested in. Just because you don’t know the people posting personally doesnt mean it isnt influencing you in the same way other social media platforms are. It still is targeting you based on an algorithm and influencing your perspective. The person saying they “learn” from Reddit is naïve about how this platform works.

I asked a question earlier and was surprised at the answers. In the 90's, how did you guys meet the people you dated, other than the ones you met at school.

Canadian here. This is so sad and disturbing to me. Lots of deficits currently in our healthcare system, but it’s shortage of health care professionals etc that is the issue. We have doctors making decisions for us, not insurance adjusters.

What is your brutally honest opinion of the singer P!nk(born 1979)?

I love her even more than I did when I was younger. She’s a beautiful and fierce woman, who is unapologetically herself. I hate that she has had a hard time in the spotlight due to not being a fragile feminine look. Love her music and her vulnerability about some of her steuggles. She’s a great role model.

Married Xenns, here's a poll for you. As an average, how often do you and your spouse have sex in your 40s??

Oh that’s too bad. I used that as well at first, but I was having other symptoms as well- and the inserts worked so well for dryness that I decided to try to gel that I put on my elbow pits every day and it’s amazing. No more stinky onion pitts.

How do y'all deal with holidays like Mothers Day?

I actually agree with you. If my spouse simply did the chores and took care of the kids for the day, that doesn’t register as a special day. When men pull their weight in day to day life it’s not a special celebration when they do that. I’m saying I want more celebration than that. The bar is actually higher- or I’m being more demanding. I expect breakfast in bed AND that the kitchen would be cleaned after and the kids needs are met AND a nice present is always nice. I feel sad for people who have a spouse that doesn’t pull their weight, in the either the chores, the manual labor and fixing, and/or childcare.

Yes those comments do that. They just didn’t realize it when they typed it. For me, i actually feel like it takes more than the usual where my husband does the chores etc to feel like a special day. There are so many days he does that already. We both do what needs to be done. So for Mother’s Day, he likes to go above and beyond. Not just doing the regular chores he/we usually do lol.

Your comment makes it sound like dads don’t do these things on a regular basis. That’s how it used to be when we were kids. All the dads I know do the same amount of heavy lifting as moms. The whole post was about how to celebrate mom’s day- which absolutely needs to happen. But the assumption that dads don’t ever do the day to day heavy lifting and it would be such a shock to moms to have dads pitch in is just insulting to most dads. IMO.
