Does anyone have a good landlord horror story?

One time on my study abroad, I had a landlord that came into the property with a group of male investors unannounced. We were a house of three young women and this was during the early hours on the morning. Thank goodness nothing happened to us, but it was still alarming. They left a mess all over the house too!

I just made the move from the UK to America and absolutely love it!

Did you move out of where you were raised; if so, why?

As someone who was born and raised in London, I definitely understand. I won’t deny the multicultural representation is so important. I’m Black & my partner also is and he grew up in a small town in the Midlands, which wasn’t very diverse so he values London for this. I would say my main issue with being born in London is being from a very expensive city and have to deal with high prices your entire life. It can be very difficult, but it’s an amazing city hence why I’m still here 28 years later.

OP, I feel you. I know everyone has their own lives to live, but living with people is about finding a fair balance. You didn’t sign up to live with three people for most of the week.

Brazil is my favourite country I’ve ever visited, so I’d say that. However, I’ve never lived here and I know you’d definitely need to learn Portuguese to get by! Good luck :)

How can we solve the Wealth Inequality problem and is Wealth Inequality the main reason why housing is so scarce?

Posted by GreenOutside9458@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 249 comments

theyellowscriptures@reddit

Housing is treated like an investment and a pension plan in this country (well the entire world to be honest). It’s not treated as a human right primarily. That widens inequality because house prices will only increase and get less attainable. It doesn’t help that land itself is extremely limited. Policies such as buy to let doesn’t help too.
