How often do you see people asking for the service charge to be removed?

Literally never seen anyone do it or talk about asking for it to be removed, even when the service was bad. Imo it’s selection bias (people commenting on something about service charges are more likely to be the ones with an axe to grind about them)

Single people with no WFH - how do you manage to do it all?

I, at the big age of 24, have discovered they are not ‘insect’ days but inset days at school. What word have you been getting wrong for ages?

Bear in mind I was probably around 7 when i decided this — I thought it was because insects are lazy during the day and lie under rocks, so during insect days we get to stay home and be lazy 💀 Its just crazy to me because I was mishearing everyone who said inset as insect, which if you say the word out loud is kind of understandable. So I was having it confirmed as insect every time they spoke to me

So funny, I thought they were insect days because insects would lie under rocks and be lazy during the day (ie not going school). It just made complete sense to me!

So interesting how different it is. I went there as a student and absolutely adored it, I will always love the cathedral and the areas surrounding it. I think people are friendly there as well

You just have to say “excuse me can you be a little bit more quiet/put your phone away it’s very distracting”. I generally get very polite reactions from people on this

Has anyone ever had their mouth washed out with soap as a punishment for swearing as a kid?

Adult birthday dinners at restaurants, who pays?

This 100%. If other people don’t want to split I’ll pay for the birthday person’s food outright. It may seem silly but if you don’t want to pay for your mate on their bday then what’s the point? It’s such a small one-time thing and it’s looking after them and making them feel appreciated as well. This is your community yk
