Corsica is good if you want beaches and want somewhere less common, but still access to good restaurants and landmarks. If you're wanting more beaches than this, it would be Spain

Can certainly be the case. It's common with rock or metal bands as well, where their initial tone is aggressive and emotive, but when they reach peak fame, they don't have the same aggression or realism in the lyrics.

Some people's fame lapses due to comedy which some people may view as outdated. I'm thinking of Lee Evans and Peter Kay here; I enjoy their comedy but I feel younger people don't relate to them as much as older people aka 30's plus.

Why is mouldy fruit in shops?

I have noticed this with Sainsbury's Strawberries; they're dated printed 2+ days fresh but you'd be lucky to get one as they're going dark when you buy them. The exception to these would the the Taste the Difference Range which have been good recently. For consistency, I find Morrisons is better for fruit in general.

Tennis is a good one: a lot of towns have a club and many run social tennis throughout the week. You'll probably also find that the majority of clubs have a number of teams which compete locally, even at a very low level.

Food technology has improved massively in the UK. Lurpak is so popular because it's a perfect balance between butter and margerine. I can have it on anything, toast, sandwiches, teacakes; it just goes with anything. At one time, this wouldn't have been possible to create so well.

Why are so many companies demanding people return to the office?

patrickb1920@reddit

From personal experience, working from home in the civil service created a pefect balance. I worked two days in the office and two days at home and the weeks went by so fast. Most of my job was diary management which was perfect on those days working from home where I could be in quiet, where as more of the casework/constituent face-to-face work was done in the office days. This for me was great, but if it was 4 days in the office, I'm not sure I would have coped.

The problem I notice is that housing benefit only covers a set amount of the rent, and if you're living in an area which isn't deprived and homeless, you're going to have to figure out how to make that extra £3-500 a month for your rent.

That's quite sad and the term 'healthy' individual comes across as very opaque to me. There was an article a while back about a schizophrenic who was released from prison in the UK and unlived himself – he was sleeping under a tree in a tent – Is this the world we want to live in?

Yeh. They're good for emergency accomodation but those struggling to hold down a place due to health needs or other, really need something more long term for mental stability.

It depends on the sector you're working in. I'm not and wasn't, as it was usually the 'other side of the office' which were uninised, so therefore they did all the heavy lifting for the gamble the higher wages. On this 'side of the office' you'd just wait to see the results and you know you'd get the uplift yourself anyway if they won. Stops a lot of drama.

Approach the workmen yourselves; if this doesn't work, contact the company directly. If all else fails, contact your council; and if that doesn't work, contact your MP and specifically ask for them to write to the council on your behalf.

Yeh I enjoy the idea of this as it helps out the needy, but in a library as the above poster said, would make it less likely for someone just to nag one and run off. I also feel, with offerings like this in an indoor setting, that people won't feel as embarassed about getting something they need.
