What’s the best type of British food??

If you lived abroad for a couple decades (I have) you eventually find out just what food items from home you can't live without. For my family that include: * Roast dinners * Biscuits and similar — Digestive's, HobNobs, Jammy Dodgers, Penguins, Tunnocks tea cakes etc. * Salad cream * Branston pickle * Classic chocolate sweets — Crunchie, Bounty, Dairy Milk, Galaxy, Flake, Ripple, Terry's Chocolate Orange etc. etc. What we can't easily get, and enjoy back in the UK, is things like scotch eggs, pasties, sausage rolls, pork pies, fish & chips. What we don't miss so much now at all is a full English (sounds inconceivable maybe, but once you've adjusted to spicy southwestern US breakfasts like huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, breakfast burritos etc. the full English just can't compete).
