I remember being a 9-year old MJ fan and watching this live and being mortified with my parents in the room. In retrospect, I’d be pretty uncomfortable watching this with my kids. Worse than I remember.

Post No Child Left Behind, they totally graduated. In the 90’s, they got what was coming to them - flunking out, becoming ditch diggers, then hobos - to McVicker and Buzzcut’s delight. Van Driesen tried to help them, but they broke his guitar and drank his girlfriend’s patchouli oil causing Beavis to become Cornholio and Van Driesen threw up his hands and realized you can’t save them all.

Would stay up laughing all night watching this show with college roommates

Sophomore year of college. Came downstairs about to head to my poli sci class and my dopey roommate says “there’s a building on fire in New York.” I looked at the TV and said, “that’s the World Trade Center, dumbass.” Not two minutes later, the second plane hit. We both knew immediately we were under attack. Needless to say, I didn’t make class that day. I was probably glued to the TV for the next twelve hours.

I have a very distinct memory of this. I was in preschool in 86 or 87 and another kid and I were screwing around and I tripped and needed stitches in my upper lip. I remember it sucking a lot. On the way home, because I was such a big boy, my mom stopped at Toys R Us and let me pick something out. Naturally I went with the Slime Pit. I remember playing with it outside in the driveway and the slime got all dirty immediately. And then that was that for the slime.

I convinced my mom to let me get They’re All Gonna Laugh at You when I was in 6th grade. Perusing the liner notes on the way home, I stupidly said out loud “cool, it’s got all the lyrics!” I was then subjected to my mom angrily reciting the words to Medium Pace to me before throwing the tape out the car window. I miss my mom every day, but I can definitely do without THAT memory.

I asked a question earlier and was surprised at the answers. In the 90's, how did you guys meet the people you dated, other than the ones you met at school.
