There was a carnival barker yelling out “Michael Biehn from Tombstone, Aliens (whatever else he’s been in)” almost the entire time. Johnny Ringo is a great character, but I wanted to slap the guy by the end of the week.

Uh, the character Biehn played in *Aliens* (Hicks), was the guy who pulls the survivors of the alien attack together and leads them the rest of the movie. He’s the other hero of the movie along with Ripley. I think you got him confused with Gorman, the lieutenant who totally falls apart under pressure and is kind of an idiot as well.

There’s a reason why - the film had a notoriously tortured production history and was rushed to market to beat out Costner’s version of “Wyatt Earp”. The studio had no faith in it and did very little marketing or promotion. If Kurt Russell hadn’t unofficially taken over as director, it may have never been completed.

This is a movie that I love. I’m really into psychological thrillers, this obviously isn’t one of them, but I put tombstone above a lot of films. It’s so perfect in so many ways, even the debated cheesiest line in the film “Noooooo” wasn’t bad, in context that scene was a thriller, and played it out like real life how nuts it was he walked out into the open with a death wish.

Nearly a perfect movie. The only weak part is the tacked-on romance.

I loved seeing a version of Big Nose Kate and Doc. But while there is historical basis for Wyatt and Maddie and Wyatt and Josephine during this time period I actually didn't really "feel it" the way it was intertwined in the plot.

Great movie. Couldn’t watch it with my mom. Her commentary through the entire movie was about Sam Elliott and Val Kilmer and how much she loved looking at them.
