1. I take my shit in when I get home. 2. Empty all trash when getting fuel. If there is any food/drink trash remove it immediately. 3. There are little L shaped plastic things with Velcro on the bottom. I keep about 4 in my trunk. They keep things from sliding around

I’ve been listening to 100.3 Jack FM out of Dallas on iHeart radio. They play just whatever the dj feels like playing. It leans more 90’s, but it could be literally anything. It may go from Elvis to Snoop to Everclear to Pearl Jam to the Mammas and the Pappas.

What's the most you've ever spent on a single mod for your car and was it actually worth it?

Family reunions

Posted by Plastic_Access_6470@reddit | Xennials | View on Reddit | 196 comments

Uztta@reddit

We still have one with my fathers side of the family. His father had three brothers. They’re all gone now so it’s more a cousins and second cousins (and third cousins even) reunion. We’ve always done a long weekend at a lake, usually renting a huge space where everyone can kind of stay together. Lots of card and domino games, cooking, drinking, watching games, and looking at old photos. I’m 45 for reference, my dad is around 70. The ages of people there vary from nearly 80 down to 11. It probably helps that most of us still live in the same region, even though we don’t all live in the same states, I think everyone is under an 8 hour drive, most are much less, and only two so far that they’d have to fly to get there.

Fellow millennials/ gen x , why was cheese sauce so much better when we were growing up?

Posted by Cool_Twist4494@reddit | Xennials | View on Reddit | 102 comments

Uztta@reddit

Pro tip: If you’re making something that has cheese sauce, like Mac and cheese or some kind of hamburger helper type food. Take the quantity of milk that it calls for and instead use half heavy whipping cream and half water. I know, you think it should be the same as milk, but it isn’t and it makes a huge difference

The GenX Sandwich

I get the “be yourself” idea, but also I feel like there’s a time and place for it and out in the world most of the time people should just “conform”. Sorry not sorry. Most of these people need to just grow up and be responsible. I know I’m sounding like a boomer here but shit. Everyone has issues and most of us get along just fine without making them other people’s problems. If you have an actual disability that’s one thing, but if you’ve self diagnosed as some bullshit or your parents over coddled you I don’t have time for it.

I’m from TX but been in LA for nearly 20 years, I’m looking at Baja also. Quite a bit cooler and much less humidity. If not there then probably northern New Mexico.

How many pills a day do you take?

Posted by TheOGcoolguy@reddit | GenX | View on Reddit | 1060 comments

26 pills, all prescription. Sometimes I get down to 22 if the pharmacy has the higher dose of one of them, I get to take 2 in the morning and 2 at night instead of 4 and 4.

We still have some nude calendars printed up every year for my shop. We don’t keep any in customer areas but most of our customers know that we have them, including the women. It’s funny how many women will come in and ask for them, while so many men will decline one on the grounds that their wife wouldn’t approve.

You aren’t going to find a bench seat, but what you’re looking for is probably going to be either German or Swiss. The trick is to stay away from sport luxury and just go for luxury. You can still get a Volvo sedan for now and it’ll probably be the most comfortable thing you’ve ever been in. BMW and Mercedes also have some options that are quite nice again, as long as you stay away from the base models or the sporty versions.

When I bought my current car, the dealership wouldn’t offer anything less than a 72 month loan. I went another route, but it was kind of unbelievable. I wanted a slightly higher note and a shorter term and their financial institution simply would not do it.

I left about halfway through. I thought the “found footage” schtick was stupid and ruined what could have been a good film. I couldn’t figure out why so many people thought it was real and it didn’t seem scary, just cheap and weird. I still haven’t seen the whole thing and probably never will.

A base model Nissan Versa starts at 17,190 USD. Idk how many people are buying them but they are available. That’s honestly pretty incredible though as a new civic in the mid 90’s was about that.

Eating at the Table

Posted by Miserable_Jacket_129@reddit | GenX | View on Reddit | 655 comments

Uztta@reddit

New had an “island” in our kitchen that we would eat at most of the time kind of like having a bar height counter. We did eat at the dining table too plenty though. We weren’t allowed food “outside the kitchen” though. We did do popcorn n a bowl if we had a movie night but that was about it. I tried that for a while with my stepkids but it just didn’t stick. I still prefer to eat at the counter in our kitchen most of the time if I’m eating at home and I’d much rather go in somewhere and eat than take it to go.

My dudes! The time has come, how do I carry my reading glasses without looking like a church lady?
