How popular was anime among xennials in the 90s? In high school?

It was very much still under the table the 90s in my high school in the DMV. Only a handful of proud geeks publicly said they were fans with DragonBall Z being the lone exception(even the jocks and hood dudes would admit to being fans). Generally, you had to find chat groups on the internet or go to a comic shop irl to find fellow anime fans.

I always wonder why Lil Kim had so much surgery done, she was so pretty beforehand.

I felt really old today when the 20 something year old girls I was working with had no clue who Kevin Costner was

Three reasonable excuses for this 1) Your robbing the cradle(Date is 25 or younger) 2) Date is FOB for one of the few countries Michael's music didn't penetrate 3) Date grew up super religious and wasn't allowed to listen to "secular music" growing up.

It's a real thing. I had to do it the last time I was on the job market a couple years ago. Corporate America wants workers young, inexperienced, and cheap so they can be easily molded and controlled like the military.

I was today years old…

What movie from the '80s or '90s is this for you?

Fresh - The main cast all went on to do much more well known 90s movies i.e. Sam in Pulp Fiction, Giancarlo in The Usual Suspects, N'Bushe in Blade, Sean in The Wood, etc but it was so damn good!

As a younger xennial this speaks to my soul!

I remember when Heavy D died \~15 ya. I was in a comic shop talking about his passing with some other customers. The cashier was a White woman who few years younger than me at the time who didn't know who Heavy D was. I literally asked hear age because I was perplexed how someone in our generation could not know who Heavy D was. That's when I realized how segregated culturally some people are in the U.S. BTW, this was in the DC Suburbs of Maryland, not some Podunk small town out in Middle America.

Most Organic Stoner Duo; Jay and Silent Bob > Method Man and Redman > Seth Rogan and James Franco(before he got cancelled). The rest felt contrived.

You're the one that compared a Martial Arts Movie that supposed to based to real life events to a Sci-Fi set hundreds of years in the future and Vietnam Veteran Revenge Fantasy. Now you're moving the goal posts when I rightfully called out how ridiculous that was to JFK, a political thriller based on a real assassination of a US President. Do you have anything better to do than engage in specious arguments on reddit?

Try r/rnb and r/hiphopheads for starters. Also, NPR Tiny Disk 's YouTube Channel is a great venue for exposure to new or different artists than one's usual.

Yup. Literally when I turned 35, I pulled or tore sore muscle or ligaments in my left side reaching down picking up a heavy backpack with one handed and never got it properly diagnosed(Thanks US healthcare!). Then later that same year, caught a bad case of the flu that had me walking around like a zombie for almost a month. My health has never been the same sense.

Black guy here. I was never a Counting Crows fan so I only knew this guy from pics in music magazines or shorts clips on MTV back in the day when he had dreads. I assumed he was biracial or some kind of Afro-Latino. Then when he cut them off, I realized he was a whole ass Hwhite man! ![gif](giphy|lfMVrwKk8eL96)

Never really did it when I was young. Started doing it when I was pushing 40. I guess it's the millennial version of buying a leather jacket when you hit middle age. But at least I'm not this [guy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40beCFVXSj0).
