I mean if you believe the polling coming out of Israel, there is an alarmingly high percentage (in some cases, the majority) of the population that holds genocidal beliefs. Pro-Israel people always say that none of these things are happening at the institutional level but if major swathes of the population believe stuff like that, it’s going to seep into your institutions.

No surprise that r/news only let this one stay open for a few hours. Between worldnews and news, the biggest news subreddits have a pretty good stranglehold on news stories casting Israel in a bad light. Everyone is familiar with worldnews’ antics but r/news has for a long time been locking/deleting every news story critical of Israel shortly after being posted. You’ll get a ban you if you bring it up too.

This article looks like it was cooked up in Israeli think tanks. Reminder that Israel conducted research into attitudes towards Israel, due to its cratering perception around the world, and found it only improved when the threat of Islam is brought front and center. There’s been a concerted effort by Israel and its allies to bring us back to the early 2000s discourse. We’re even fighting another Middle East war where Israel is the prime benefactor.

In fact, Germany is going to bat for Israel more than any country besides the US (maybe tied with the US). They've essentially banned all pro-Palestinian protests, supply Israel with weaponry, ignored the ICC warrant and allowed Bibi in the country, and are in talks of having Volkswagen manufacture parts for Iron Dome.

I had the most hilarious thing happen to me. I posted a quote from an Israeli Knesset member and that was deemed so extreme and hateful that I was going to get a site wide ban. I had to explain in my appeal that I didn't agree or believe in the things he was saying, just quoting him. Kind of goes to show how extreme Israeli society has become.

They also have a conviction rate of over 90% for Palestinians in the West Bank and 3% for the settler terrorists. A Palestinian accused of throwing a rock may spend months in prison without a trial while a settler who kills a Palestinian get a couple days in house arrest before Israel sweeps his crime under the rug.

There’s a huge faction of people (usually hawkish Americans) who believe that the US has been too soft in their wars. They think if we unleash biblical levels of distraction then we’ll achieve our goals and won’t have to worry about the messy bits. It’s clear Israelis follow this doctrine and the Trump administration is also full of them. It’s why Kegsbreath is going on about how there won’t be any stupid ROEs this time around.

The pro-Israel crowd loves to talk out of both sides of their mouth. Every journalist they kill was secretly Hamas (remember the fucking “Hamas” camera that required shelling first responders over?). All their dead are innocent civilians, even the ones in military gear pulled out of tanks. Their whole society serves in the military but anyone in Gaza with even a 2nd or 3rd degree of separation from a Hamas is a legitimate target.
