I live 2000 miles away and it’s starting to worry me. They’re getting less self sufficient. The problem is they live in a place I’d really rather not live and raise my kid. And sibling is 1000 miles away from them and 100% not responsible or financially stable so all responsibility will fall to me. It’s stressful to think about. My kid is young and I wish we’d had him sooner.

They made basically a throwback of it, though it’s a brand new game with different levels, but it has the same look and feel. It came out a few years ago on Steam and I assume Xbox/PlayStation/Switch. It’s called “TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge”.

Hershey’s BarNone too. The original, not the reboot, or the more recent new owner reboot which were good when they were fresh from the first run but then they never made more and were selling old expired stock. Nothing can touch the OG. PB Max is in the same tier too though.

I think what’s so enraging about the phone tree menus is that if the question could be answered via their automated crap I could and would have already had the answer from their website/app. I’m literally only calling because the reason necessitates talking to a human.

Eye doctor told me the reason is that our eye lenses continue “growing” even after the rest of our body has long since stopped. Basically, it keeps gradually building up layers of cells so it becomes thicker and thicker with age. In our forties it reaches a thickness where our eye muscles that basically bend/deform the lens to focus on things closer up are no longer able to bend the lens enough due to the increased thickness.

And if you want much more background and details, go watch Adam Curtis’s 4-part 2002 BBC documentary, “The Century of the Self.” It’s available free on YouTube on his official channel (playlist here): https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLktPdpPFKHfoXRfTPOwyR8SG8EHLWOSj6 I watched it when it came out, and then again during COVID after the BLM riots and Jan 6 disaster, and it really hit home hard.
