Has company implemented autonomous AI agents, has it affected employment?

I work in a reddit karma farm. AI agents have been a key turning point in the employment of our organisation. It is used for: 💬 Answering community questions 💡 Generating new ideas ✅ Checking that any remaining humans are doing thier jobs properly I hope this helps! Let me know if you need anything else.

What am I missing with AI hype?

I was paraphrasing Mark Twain >There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations.

Whilst you're certainly not wrong about it being hyped, I would say that AI is a revolution and everyone who does anyform of "[Knowledge Work](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knowledge_worker)" should be investing time into how their career can benefit from utilising AI. I'd also say that, depending on what "intelligence" is, we do have AGI already. As a software developer, it is very difficult to create puzzles that are not easily solvable by AI more quickly than a human. However, the current limitation is the amount of context that an AI can hold for a given solution, I think this is where knowledge work is moving. Well, along with original thought of course although arguably even humans don't have many truly original thoughts!

I remember playing that in a prefab classroom in the 1980s on a BBC Micro wheeled into our classroom on a trolley. We played it as a class for about 30 minutes so didn't get very far into it.

Configuration format

MarkRand@reddit

I'd be tempted to represent it as code. Large configs can lead to some brittle applications whereas code can have unit tests which also help to give the context of the configurations.

If you run tmux, then start a long running command and then press ctrl+b followed by d, then the session is detached. Run "tmux a" to reattach. There's tons more to tmux than this obviously.
