How to handle bugs you can't reproduce?

Lately I've been getting a lot of tickets from support where a user encounterd a bug and support has failed to reproduce it. They assign it to me, in the hopes that I can. I'll try everything too, and also come up empty. I go through logs and pour over the code to try to find anything that might cause it, but nothing. I don't think the users are lying. I'm sure these things are actually happening. And some of them are important people who pay us lots of money. I really don't know how to fix something that I can't see though. Am I thinking about this wrong? How do you handle this?
