I think most look a little odd. However I love the look of the electric Challenger. I know it was a huge flop but if we’re talking about looks alone , it’s a good looking car.

2001 Silverado 4.8 , drove it 24 years 300k miles. only changed the spark plugs once, cheap Walmart oil change every 4k miles. couple of batteries obviously and brakes. Nothing else, still started and ran well when I donated it. ac was broke and I was moving where I no longer needed a vehicle.

C4, C5's as a Corvettes as a daily driver?

Posted by Warm-Collection3411@reddit | askcarguys | View on Reddit | 156 comments

Good_Split_3749@reddit

I think it’s because they don’t impress people like newer Vettes do. low to the ground, c4 pretty slow , and not very practical. Me personally I’d love to daily a c4 but I have driven a truck for 20 years and I know I’d destroy the corvette accidentally. not because of speed, but silly shit like speed bumps and parking barriers.

Good_Split_3749@reddit

buy a v6 charger and just go to car guy things. If anyone asks why you only got a v6 you respond, “my restitution is 80k, I’ll have it paid off in 5 years then I’ll be running 1000hp”

if you can move up to the most recent Malibu like 2017-2025 they are very roomy, I am 6 3 and over 200 and was amazed at the space coming from a super roomy 2000 Silverado. Also the 38 mpg on the hwy is astonishing

Good_Split_3749@reddit

if we’re talking new I’d say Mazda but if we’re saying used I’m going ford. Gt for the high end, annoying loud Mustang for attention, 4.6 v8 in an 150 truck, but my favorite is my super reliable 2008 Focus, love that little car!

Any sign of cooling off in the used car market?

Posted by Jehan78@reddit | askcarguys | View on Reddit | 75 comments

Good_Split_3749@reddit

The only things cool in the market are cars people don’t want. Or Kia’s and Hyundai that are the easy to steal ones. You know what is cheap? A 2022 Nissan leaf, they weren’t popular new and they are real cheap now, like half the price of the used civic or less.

I 100 percent would not spend half that, some time cars need to be let go. I know it’s hard but this is definitely one to let go. you’d be much better off putting 9k into a used Corolla

trading in a 10 month old car, instantly creates a huge loss. You knew that and that’s why you were trying to negotiate a great deal. Car salesman saw you as a sucker and hit you with the initial sucker offer. you took it personally, it’s not personal. I don’t blame you at all for walking, but trading a 10 month old car is a huge mistake and you’re getting screwed “good” deal or not.

they have a very simple thing online, they ask questions like does the car have any flat tires or missing body panels. they ask if there are any check engine lights. I think you can get 5k minimum for the car, by answering their questions and don’t give any extra details.

Good_Split_3749@reddit

I’d say you may have better luck at a low end dealer, like Kia Hyundai Mitsubishi, try their used lot. Maybe even a carmax definitely not the same money at carmax but that might boost your resume. You need to get a sales manager to think you have a shot.

Cadillac Dts nothing even close in 30 years of car ownership. Bought it used, had just had the head gasket replaced at a Gm dealership, and it failed again in less than 5 k miles.
