How do you know its safe to drill/screw into a wall?

Posted by ShahHazard@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 19 comments

Good rule I follow. Two sockets there, imagine two lines extending straight up to the ceiling from them and two more lines going straight down to the floor. Dont drill anywhere there.

NOT IN FRONT OF MY FUCKING CROISSANT. I do agree though. No shirt, No shoes, No service. Applies to both men and woman. Not a fan of those pajama dwellers either.

A battery fan. But its a decent sized one. Extends from floor to big fan hight and oscillates. Even has a tiny remote. During summer it goes in my window to draw in the cooler night air. I take it places if its warmer and can get a breeze going. Its one of my go to things now to grab. A solid investment

Are you scared of dying?

Posted by Fickle_Acanthaceae17@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 1296 comments

pissbuckit666@reddit

Nope not at all. Never was scared of what was before I was born. No reason to be scared for after. I live each day happy. I feel sad when I think of being forgotten but surround yourself with good people. Make good memories and live on for years after death, rent free in a friend's mind. True death in my mind is being forgotten. Make good times. Have fun with your life. Be the person others tell stories of. I will add don't report me for being suicidal. I'm not. Fuck off.

Hobbies? I've had many. Nitro RC cars. Lock picking. Discord building and configuration. Learning linux. 3d printing. And now the expensive hobby, homelabbing. I now own a 24 bay NAS that's running Media streaming and some other bits to keep me busy. I'm looking at almost 3k put into this so far and this is just the beginning.

I used to still listen to them. They have some banger tracks and I was vocal to a close friend about still listening to them. Until he ruined it with logic. He pointed out that when the songs were written and he was singing them, at that point he was a pedo. He was in that mindset during the performance. After that realisation I haven't listened to them since. Makes the town of hypocrisy video not sit right. Like watching the old BBC Jimmy Savile videos. Your danger meter fills up..

Why are so many people mean online?

Posted by Timely_Conflict_3107@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 204 comments

pissbuckit666@reddit

I found I did slip into that mindset but after some self reflection I realised I was just feeding the hate snowball. Now I tend to be polite and not as social online. It's helped I've cut all news/radio and tv out of my time. It definitely lowers the hate levels. Now I just have a small community of people I interact with and threaten to shove animals though their letterboxes instead. So a win? Maybe? Hate speech is something not good. It's easy to call someone a thundercunt online, it's harder to try and level with them and be understanding. That's why I try to be understanding, folks have their own problems.

Attempted burglary, how do you protect your home?

Posted by Early-Ambassador5866@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 858 comments

pissbuckit666@reddit

Life pro tip. Lean against your door keep your butt pressed against the letterbox and lean around for things like keys and stuff. If you can grab it they can too. My advice is to keep keys away from front door stuff. Somewhere obvious to you and family, Heck just inside a nearby room on a hook is a good call. If you have a twist thing to unlock your door from the inside get this changed out for a key.

My wife stuck a lid inside a frying pan, any advice as to how to get it out?

Posted by Snoopyisnotdead1929@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 40 comments

pissbuckit666@reddit

Does it have a steam hole? If so fill that fucker up with water and shove it in the freezer, put some tape over the hole. The water will expand and pop that lid off. I've done this after my sister in her infinite wisdom did this. If it's glass there is a possibility of it breaking but it still solves the problem.

Just don't wear a pair. Instead pair up similar ones together. There is absolutely nothing wrong with not wearing a print that is the same as the other. Today I had a spider-man sock and a monster print sock. Yellow and green the heel was a mouth. Its kind of liberating!

Yeah but it's not as common as the papers make out it is. The same can be said about being crushed by cars, eaten alive by dogs, drowning, choking on a pork pie. I compare it to schizophrenia, because its scary and the slightest mention of that and people want to buy the paper or click on links. I find it normally Americans who throw that statistic like its a get out of jail free card. I know more Americans who have been shot at then British people who have witnessed or on the receiving end of knife crime.

I look at it this way. I can walk to the shop, have kids in school and wander around a night club without being worried about becoming another statistic for gun crime. The fact I can do that means I have more freedom than an American child.
