How much VRAM needed for Qwen 3.6 27B Q8 with 262K context?

There are more 'dedicated' cards and boxes for AI use, but those are expensive too. The vram chip costs and shortages killed the market. Can't even build a new gaming rig without having to spend a grand or more on just the ram and SSDs. Want a 5090 in it? $4k if you can find one in stock. It's going to be like this for the foreseeable future.

I've been running Qwen2.5-coder-14b-instruct with k/v cache = Q8 and Qwen2.5-coder-1.5b-instruct as the draft model on my 4070 ti super and it seems to run well without spilling over in to my system ram (32gb ddr4). I'm no pro at this and just use it for little python based project ideas for work, and I'm sure I'm probably not running it at its full potential for my gpu...but it's OK as-is.

For our stuff in Azure, I'm using the acmebot function app with a key vault and the keyvault for windows extension on the IIS VMs. IIS is set to auto-update binding on cert renewal. Automated renewals, just doesn't auto remove the old expired certs from the store (and IIS). Works for more than just the VMs, too.

What exactly does enabling virtualization on a PC do?

Well, if you're legitimate, then stop with the "Too easy to buy" nonsense...you went through a federal background check to buy that gun, hence the paperwork. Find someone hosting conceal carry courses in your area and attend one. Then find a local range to practice at. Enjoy your new hobby and the exercising of your constitutionally protected right.

The left constantly likes to beat on the "guns are too easy to buy" drum, that topic is back in the news after proposed ATF changes, and then you come along with "I walked in to a gun store and getting a gun was so easy I didn't even realize it happened!" which could easily be mistaken as an attempt to fuel the "too easy to buy" fire.

I agree that is how things got to be this bad, but it's well past the point of easily fixing. We either vote for the lesser of 2 evils or let the worst one win. Those are the choices we're left with after several generations of conditioning. It is completely unrealistic that a third-party will win in our lifetime, it would take a massive change, a massive movement, which we so far are completely incapable of. Our inaction got us in this position and continues to keep us in this position. You *can* change shit on your own, I gave you the instructions in my first reply. That's the key to working towards what I believe is the actual solution. The left has been doing this for years, they start by infecting the teaching/professor positions, then the local governments, and working their way up and turning more cities/states blue, while the right that are in power right now are closer to charging people for antisemitism than charging anyone from the Epstein files. Your "I won't vote and can't change shit on my own" mindset is just as much to blame as our years of conditioning to vote for one party or the other.

I mean, I don't disagree. When I'm bored at work I sit on X all day bullying politicians and recipients of certain foreign funding, but I'm also a realist. I seriously think it's going to take generations to undo, and an abrupt "just stop voting right"is going to make the problem a LOT worse before it ever starts getting better.

The libertarian on the ticket will surely win this time! /s It's unrealistic that enough people would start voting third party in the foreseeable future, for that third party to have a significant chance of winning. We're trained all our lives to strictly adhere to identity politics and feed the rigged two-party system, a system controlled by foreign interests and billionaires on both sides, by voting for the lesser of two evils in every election and it's going to take generations to fix that level of damage, brainwashing, and corruption. That's the reality of it, whether you want to accept it or not. We're past the "silent majority/sleeping bear/tree of liberty" daydream, look where our laziness and inaction got us so far..."just one more thing I don't like and I swear we'll wake up!" Yeah, right. I truly think the only solution is starting over with the basics...going back to church, getting involved in your local government, and raising your kids right...and maybe our great grandchildren won't have to deal with the continued moral decline of society and the gradual stripping away of all our rights.

Dunno about the Hornady ones the other replies mentioned, but Savior makes pistol racks just like those and you can get them on Amazon. I run those on the shelves in my safe, and they work great.

AR15.com's gunstruction is probably your best bet. Can be a little buggy sometimes, and not all parts or color options are in there, but it should get you close enough.

[Other] Ridgeline 44 Gun Safe at Menards - $369.99

johnnydotexe@reddit

**TLDR - It's better than a cabinet or nothing at all, and only if you absolutely cannot swing a couple hundred more for something made out of 12gauge steel and with a better locking mechanism.** So I went and picked one up from my local Menards, to replace a Stack-On 18-gun storage cabinet. The safe has a slightly larger footprint, so space didn't increase by much, but I can better fit/organize my rifles and shotguns in it which is nice. Although it is a cheap safe that I believe is made in China with probably exaggerated fire ratings, better than a thin metal cabinet. The interior panel of the door with the 10 handgun holsters...not that great, this was probably the primary selling point for me and it's sorely disappointing. Unless all your guns are single stack compacts, you're going to have fitment issues. The holsters are small and close together. I couldn't have certain handguns next to each other, or above/below each other. Fatter handguns, like the raging judge, won't fit at all without risk of tearing the threads holding the holster to the panel. The upper shelf they include has a small cutout to allow a couple longer rifles to stick up through it. This allows you to run that shelf lower even if you have a couple old mosins or mausers, at the cost of a little shelf space. Did not use the small shelves at all, but may add one towards the bottom of one side since ARs are shorter and having a little stash space at the bottom would be nice for random odds and ends like parts for a few surplus rifles, couple handgun holsters, paperwork/manuals, etc...freeing up the top shelf for other stuff. It does have the less desirable digital+backup key lock setup, and I don't think it's the standard mounting footprint many other safes have. I tried to do a little digging on if the lock setup could be replaced with something better, but didn't have the time to go down that rabbit hole and confirm...plus it probably wouldn't be cost effective on a $400 safe that is made out of 14gauge steel.

Appliance dolly would handle it. Harbor Freight sells one I think. A couple of dudes and those lift straps might work as well. Before moving, open the door to 90\* and lift it up off the hinges first, that removes about 75lbs. Don't lose the pins or the dress caps from the hinges.

You took a picture of your husband's gun and came to reddit to ask about it, instead of just asking your husband? Wtf? To answer your question...it's clearly his easily accessible desk gun for if shit hits the fan or someone breaks in. Same applies to his shower gun, toilet gun, refrigerator gun, garage gun, attic gun, etc.

I'm starting to see them pop up at smaller vendors and in public sector IT. The few I've worked with on projects were completely incompetent and had absolutely no experience in or knowledge of the technology we were working on, sometimes causing the project to completely derail and cost a fortune in delays. The H1-B system is horribly abused, the certification/degree mills over in India are giant money scams, and here in the US both political parties and their friends benefit from that system, so it'll continue to exist and be abused.

Whats a good headset for shooting?

Posted by FLACKER_1@reddit | Firearms | View on Reddit | 36 comments

johnnydotexe@reddit

On the cheap end of headsets, I'd recommend Howard Leight or Walker Razor. HLs have directional mic audio, but WRs have optional walkie attachments that are kinda neat, I run the HLs. The more you spend, the more protection you have for your ears...so good hearing protection is a smart insurance policy. On the cheaper headsets, I'd also still run earplugs.

Thoughts On The P365XL

I don't know the specifics. I just remember doing some searching on the P365 trying to figure out if it had any known issues, and seeing some comments about the firing pin and a dead trigger issue, but apparently Sig addressed it already. I bought mine after all that, and have not had any problems at all other than the mushy trigger which doesn't really bother me.

johnnydotexe@reddit

Apparently early on they may have had some sort of firing pin issue, from what I've read. Otherwise, haven't really heard anything bad about them other than the mushy trigger which you can fix with a spring kit for the FCU. My EDC is a P365XL with Wilson Combat grip module, TLR-7 Sub, Holoson EPS Carry, and Tyrant CNC intellifire trigger shoe. I didn't mess with the spring upgrades, replacing the trigger shoe on that FCU was enough of a pain in the ass.

Added an edit to the OP, if I remove the /log= parameters from the task arguments, it actually connects to the SFTP, but doesn't do anything else it's supposed to in that script.txt file. It just connects and does a LIST directory according to the SFTP server logs.
