Neighbour dispute - what would you do in this situation?

My buzzer gets buzzed all the time by delivery drivers, people who forgot keys, binmen, cleaners and ubereats. I just stopped answering the buzzer all together as no one ever answers the buzzer when im out and amazon are trying to deliver to me. Suggest you do the same, literally just ignore the buzzer.

What is the correct etiquette regarding a passenger wanting to sleep on a long drive?

Pretty much what I expected when opening the thread, everyone saying they'd rather be left in absolute silence and not have to talk to anyone for several hours. Redditors really don't help the stereotypes with threads like this lol.

Why do some Uber Eats drivers have a picture of a woman but are actually male?

Not everything is related to OC. Most of them are probably just borrowing from someone not using the account on a certain day because getting a driver account can take a long time.

I've got a 4 day stag do abroad with 23 other guys coming up at the end of the month and the group chat has been filled with how much they can't wait to take drugs. I won't be. Any tips on surviving?

How often is your mate going to the toilet to do coke? Takes like 2 minutes in the toilet and then back out to talk absolute nonsense to everyone else at the bar.

I had my first pair of wireless earbuds for 4 years and my current second pair for about a year now. I've lost them once in that time frame and gotten them back the next day. Honestly, skill issue if you are losing wireless ones within a week.

B and m noodles re horrific, wayyy to much salt. Morrisons do ones called Ko-Lee with cartoon packaging. I think that they're the best!

Do you enjoy your job?

Do I enjoy my job? Sort of, I guess, I don't spring out of bed every day giddy to start the day kind of love it but I do work on projects that are helping my local community every now and then which is nice and I work on interesting projects occasionally. I'm at the point that it's a pretty well paying job for the qualifications that I have achieved in life, and it took quite a bit of effort to reach that point.

Screaming neighbour advice. What would you do?

Posted by Lumpy-Laugh6607@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 113 comments

cammyk123@reddit

My old neighbour used to scream at the top of his lungs at crazy times, like 3 or 4am. I'd go over and batter his door down and tell him to shut tge fuck up. It'd usually work for a month or 2 and then I'd go back over. Thankfully, he moved out a while ago, and my new neighbours are sound.

I know most redditors hate any social internation with their fellow colleagues and generally interacting with anyone, but pretty much everyone outside of Reddit generally enjoys socialising with at least a few of their colleagues after work.

I love the advice of "get a lawyer" for minor inconveniences, never mind finding the lawyer can be hard, paying them and waiting months / years for your situation to be sorted, when you potentially cannot wait that long for the situation resolved.

UK people, do you recycle - and if not, what’s your reasoning?

Posted by Bloomingfails@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 704 comments

No because my bins get collected like once every 3 weeks so all the normal rubbish from everyone in my flat gets dumped in the recycling bin.

Got banned from a pub in town "for life" because me and a couple of friends were pouring our own pints in the bar downstairs that was completely unmanned.

Honestly mate don't listen to folk on Reddit about "excessive" social outings. So many folk on this app turn in to shut ins at 23 and say they'd prefer 2 pints in the pub and be home for a cup of tea by 8pm. Christ alive, how boring can you be! I can guarantee you that most folk your age will go out for a fair few pints at least once a month.

Why has High Speed rail (HS2) gone so badly wrong (over budget and late)?

Used to work with a guy that would sign off on folk who were getting money back from the government because they were installing green power solutions to power whatever they had on their land. He was getting sketches on the back of an a4 paper that showed what they had installed and dimensions etc that would get approved lol... zero photo evidence or proper construction plans.

cammyk123@reddit

Yea, when people compare our railway infrastructure with that of, say, China, it makes me laugh a bit. Its a lot easier to build 1000s of kms of high speed travel when you dont give a fuck about whoever or whatever is in the way of your proposed railway line.

To be fair, the US and the russians spent 10s of billions in R and D to find out how to get to the moon / get up in space. I'm not taking anything away from India, but its a bit much to say they spent £75m to get to the moon when other countries spent decades and billions of pounds to test what worked and what didn't.

I think the solution is to have massive fines for any messing about, like double or triple whatever they stood to make, and actually investigating it.

Why is HS2 such a hard sell?

Are people who post up questions like "I'm only on £50K a year how do I live" type of questions for real?

Posted by gerard_18@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 1860 comments

cammyk123@reddit

Yea fr, when folk say living off 25-30k is really hard, they don't mean the bare essentials. Living is going to pub every now and then, going out to a restraunt a couple of times a month, going on holiday every couple of years and putting a bit of money away in savings for a rainy day. Some folk seem to think working 9-5 and then going on reddit for 8hrs a day with no social life is how everyone wants to live their life.

What cost of living prices have shocked you the most in supermarkets?
