What do I do? She left a shed blocking my front door

Posted by isntitdotty@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 657 comments

WeeklyExamination@reddit

Start using it as an outhouse, then remove the door and put it right up to the woman's (the shed owner's) front door (door to door) in the night. See how she likes dealing with other people's shit. Pun intended.

Do I have to wash these before I recycle them?

Posted by mildlymoistdrizzle@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 1381 comments

WeeklyExamination@reddit

Majority of that gets shipped around the world to be "recycled" (put in landfill) in third world countries so their governments can make a quick buck. You're better putting everything in your "general waste" bin so it actually gets recycled into energy at an energy from waste plant.

Been here 20 years. Never understood what these were for. What are they?

Yeah just stabbing pains, 111 referred me to A&E, when I went in my bp was really high, then i had an ECG and bloods taken, then bp again, then see the doctor, then chest xray, then see the doctor again and told to go home and take some ibuprofen, it was costochondritis, swelling of the cartilage that connects the ribs to the breastbone, no known cause, and no known treatment/cure other than anti inflammatory. Can last several weeks

Can my manager force me to wear a skirt at work?

Posted by wickedgreen9@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 179 comments

WeeklyExamination@reddit

No he cannot, kindly reply that you will not be doing so, and that you will continue to wear the trousers, continue to wear the trousers for the entirety of your employment. Should any issue arise due to this: such as disciplinary action, you can appeal this at an employment tribunal. or you could play dumb, accept the disciplinary action and kick up a stink, continuing to wear trousers. With the end result being a lawsuit for wrongful dismissal and a nice little payout. But as with anything, Don't take my advice, ianal

Sorta hijacking the thread here, If I were at my van, sorting some tools for a job, and somebody tried to attack me, I grab the closest thing in the van, in order to defend myself, and it's a framing nailer. I proceed to nail them (pun unintended) in the arm, just the once, and they cower back, am I in trouble? Just saying this is hypothetical, and I don't own a nail gun

I'd beg to differ, When in contact with the police regarding a crime committed against myself, they instructed me not to upload cctv to social networks to try and identify the criminal, As it would make the evidence inadmissible. I'm no lawyer so I'm not sure but that's what I was told
