Do you pay for medication in the UK?

Along with medical exemption you can pay quarterly or yearly if you don’t qualify and need to take a lot of meds. I don’t know how much it is off the top of my head but let’s just it cost £100 per year then after get 10 meds the rest will be free that year.

Police can only kick the doors in if they believe it’s an emergency, if they are a venerable person that will increase the chance but there is no guarantee. Other factors will also came into play.

True but poor kids that can’t eat and thus go hungry won’t eating junk food as they are going hungry, more well of kids then the kids that go hungry will be the ones with overworked parents that buy them junk food and of course the ones that are a lot richer. It’s al levels of everything.

How does a Trident Submarine know if a nuclear attack has started on the UK?

The radio 4 thing is not nonsense, it’s just not the first thing that happens. If there is a nuclear attack and UK is wiped out, and no orders have been given. The commander won’t know what has happened and can’t get in touch with anyone. This maybe a communication error or the people on the other side might be busy (could be killed for example but not nuclear related), it’s unlikely but still possible. If all these attempts fail and then they go back to old school technology that checks BBC signal and then commander will then make a decision if to fire or not.  It’s a fail safe protocol.  Remember submarines have fully autonomy and can fire nukes without authorisation under certain conditions.

I would imagine this has everything to do with lack of funding for school meals and schools charging extra to paying students to top up the free school meals. Reduce portion from paying student may cause parents to decide that school meals aren’t worth the money and stop using them, this will cause more cuts in the budget for free schools meals and could end up in disaster. All of this is a guess, but I would suggest finding out more information before going nuclear on the school just in case it might hurt you and your child in the end.

The hot weather is a more general UK thing than a Reddit thing. When it’s hot we hate to the heat and miss the cold and when it’s cold we hate the cold and miss the heat.

> If you listen to UK Reddit we live in a post apocalyptic wasteland where all systems have collapsed, we wander around in sack cloth looking for scraps. My girlfriend decide to do a phone/gadget detox for a week, this was her after 30 mins.  At one point we were in a restaurant and she freaked out that she couldn’t pay for the meal because she didn’t have her phone, never mind that she never pays and she had her bank card on her.

Why are GP surgeries rated so bad?

Posted by Extension_Bit4323@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 55 comments

TypicalPen798@reddit

A few years ago I was working along side CQC talking to service users. When talking with people that used GP surgeries 99.99% of complaints was around 8 am phone in times and being able to get an appointment. Every other issue we looked at people either didn’t care about it or it was at least acceptable.   So my guess is that why they are rated low in their reviews.

Are payday loans really extortionate?

My advice would be if you can get money from anywhere else then you are better off doing that. And from what you have said the money is only for things like bills. It would be better to figure out how much money you can afford to use to payback, let’s say you need £100 can you afford say £10 per week to payback for this (you will need extra money either way to payback the loan). The number doesn’t matter as much just that you need extra.   Then phone up one of the companies and inform them that you will be short this month and would like to enter a repayment plan paying an extra £10 a week.  Best companies to target would be the council for council tax, gas and electricity companies who won’t just turn off services to you especially if you add you have a disabled family. This way you will pay 0% interest and can get yourself back on your feet quickly.
