Pressing in a lower ball joint in the control arm yesterday on my 1979 Trans Am. I should had used a slightly larger adapter, bent the hell out of the dust cap. Oh well, 2-3 day wait from Rock Auto.

Found this in the supply room at work today. Younger coworkers blown away that you needed a cord this long. Well, we had to leave the kitchen & go around the corner to shut the door so no one could hear what we were talking about!

Does anyone else not like tv and movies these days?

House of Dragon, excellent. The Boys, really liked it. Of course Game of Thrones was just so good, watched it like 4 times now from start to finish. I still go back and watch an episode of Twilight Zone here and there though.

I'm a luddite.

I work on my own cars, I preferred naturally aspirated carbed cars but I do have a couple of modern cars because of better gas mileage. I can work on all of them, but I will not have anything after 2019, well because I want something with a dipstick and no subscriptions. I have been in the computer field since I was really young, had computers back before most people had one like Atari 800 days. As a career I have always been into it, networking, security, sys admin, devops, programming, etc. But the last couple of years I am just about over it. Corporations have just ruined it all. I cannot even buy a gaming laptop that is decent that is not 3k+, AI is everywhere and it is hot garbage. It is creeping into my work life and I am screaming at the clouds that we do not need to implement it just because we can! I remember the ol' Jurassic Park quote ya know. Anyway, I am close to being able to afford to leave but I cannot really draw my pension for a few more years without a hit. The days feel unbearable sometimes, I am either bored or annoyed. I also wonder if I do leave and already bored, what is going to be my mental state without work also.

I sure do, I really wish my car had them. On the weekends when I drive my '79 I normally leave the windows down but no real air makes it in the car. I miss car design where you would get some cross-flow at speed.

Does anyone remember how exciting this felt when you were younger?

I love movies, and just recently I finally saw "Dazed and Confused". Although the movie itself did not seem to have had a point, I think it nailed what it was like for me growing up. As a classic car buff and collector, it really was a blast seeing old Trans Am's, Dusters, Chevelle SS driving around. It was really on point with the parties, no real curfew. If you have not seen the movie, well worth it.

How many here are into going to the gym and health?

I did not start going until maybe 2 years ago, never went to a gym before. Now I go three times a week for strength training. I do not think I have missed a day in those two years. I have done cardio since around 40, still doing that daily.
