GenXers who got bullied in school, what was the attitude of parents and teachers towards it?

School staff would intervene in severe cases but mostly we were all left to deal with it ourselves. Our parents RARELY intervened. I’m not saying it was good or bad, it was what it was. Like I said, it had the be severe.

Is sacrificing for your kids a GenX trait?

I should clarify, my kids are good. They’re great adults doing their thing. It’s just a thought I’ve had. I’m glad my kids did not suffer the poverty I did. I’m proud I was able to give them what I did, I just sometimes wonder if I should have held back on somethings, not all, that were wants and not needs. Like I said, I don’t know.

I was able to give my kids more and sometimes I’ve wondered if I had held back a little on things that really weren’t important if they’d appreciate what they have more. I don’t know. 🤷‍♀️

I can drive a clutch, my 3 oldest kids can drive a clutch but I don’t think it’s a flex. It’s just a clutch, they were taught to drive in one because it was the one car I was willing to sacrifice.

Huh. I guess she should have gotten her something or discussed it with her husband if it was that important to her. Seems it’s not as she grumbled and complained in front of her daughter. For some people, in their minds, their spouse is blamed for everything.
