Anyone Else’s Kids Started Talking to You Like You’re Old?

So my sons are 19 and 15. Twice recently I’ve had to give my 19 yo shit for talking to me like I’m old. The first time was after I had just bought a new truck. The CarPlay kept disconnecting but just being busy I hadn’t had a chance to figure out why yet. It drops out when he’s in the car and he says “hey I can fix that for you.” It’s not just what he said but how he said it, like I was too feeble minded to fix it myself. Not to mention all he did was reconnect, which is what I’d already done a couple of times. Really young ‘un? I’ve been in IT for 30 years and this is what you think? The second time was 2 weeks ago when we went on a family vacation. One of our stops was a national park. To get a good picture in this one area you really needed to scramble down an embankment to a creek bed. A bunch people were doing it and I went down with both boys. My wife decided she didn’t want to get that dirty and stayed up top. I got the pic and waited for the boys to climb up ahead of me and then climbed back up. As I was climbing the 19 yo asked “dad, are you ok?”. I hadn’t slipped or missed footing and I wasn’t climbing any more slowly than they had. Dude, I’ve been climbing in and out of creeks since I was probably 2. I told him he’s a good son but to please not speak to me like I’m old. I’ll let him know when that time comes. I’m 56 btw.
