Agreed, but as citizens whos only voices are on these platforms we should vote to change that. Maybe platforms marketed as a place to voice yourself shouldn't have private control over who they silence

I don't understand that, either. We see here that failing on works, but how do you come to a complete stop with just a parachute? Did the plane have reverse thrust? Are we landing at the Bonneville salt flats? Lol

Lubricating, sure. Cooling, no. It's just how physics works. It likely runs better without running rich but running lean makes hot motors, not running rich.

It's not about EGTs it's about temperature in the cylinder and load taken from the cooling system for the block. If the burn is still occurring through the exhaust valves clearly not all heat is being added inside the block.

Rolling coal doesn't add power but it removes heat. Unburnt fuel doesn't contribute to heat in the combustion chamber because it doesn't combust, but it does evaporate and "soak up" heat becuase of that...

Ditto on your middle point. I have 2 cars, both <3000 lol I've got probably as much as total $10,000 into the older one now after large maintenance items, but theoretically I've got a pretty healthy car that'll get me another 5 year least.

In theory, how long would it take to build a car from scratch with no prior car knowledge?

Electrolysis is widely inefficient and it takes electricity. It'd be better to just use a motor instead of an engine. I don't know any specific cases of someone being killed, I just haven't looked into it, but with how many car guys there are and now how many "makers" and diyers there's just no way nobody else hasn't stumbled across any of these methods. I have seen some people putting tiny carbs, maybe not lawnmower but only worth dozens of HP, on large V8s. If I recall their claims are 40+ mpg but that makes sense. Ultimately, if you're using less fuel you're probably doing less work (going slower, accelerating slower, etc.) or you've gotten the thermal efficiency of the motor way above the 50% number we seem to be stuck well below

I see where you're coming from but I think it's wrong? A lighter flywheel does result in better acceleration. Surely that means less time bringing the vehicle up to speed, more time at speed. Maybe it's miniscule, but when part of driving is increasing rpm and lighter flywheel makes that portion more efficient

I damaged my boyfriend’s van, any advice on how to fix it up and make it look better?

Yeah Crhisfix and YouTube will have you well on your way, then! It's likely to look more like you did it than a shop, but based on your boyfriend's reaction just cleaning it up a bit and showing you care would be huge, it doesn't have to be perfect but you can likely make it way better. Perfect is for body shops

Go to a lower gear. More wheel torque. Torque can be geared, power is fixed. Torque is how much force you can apply. Power is how much force you can apply in a given time. If you want more leverage, use a longer lever. Horsepower will determine the maximum rate of climb. Torque will determine only if you can overcome the resistance of the climb. If you are overcoming it, additional torque will not assist (unless, by extension, you have additional power)

Why are non-supra 2JZ cars so much cheaper than supras?

Nothing cool, just swapped a bad stock trans for a Baya that was hopefully not bad. A year and a trans cooler later and we're still not actually sure about the BAYA, it's having a weird issue but I think it's overfull when the thermostat engages so we may just pull that out of the loop and always run the cooler, I'm not sure yet
