How many times is too many times to raise noise issues with a neighbour?

Don’t know if it’s the same reason but I pace back and forth constantly. I got OCD at a severe level and it causes me to pace over and over again sometimes for hours or until my feet have blisters, usually happens when I’m anxious about something or on the phone. Sometimes when I have people over and I’m talking to them and I will place my footsteps in the same spot everytime and count to a even number until I’m temporarily satisfied then do it all over again until I’m worn out. Thankfully I don’t have downstairs neighbours but I know if I did and they asked me to stop I’d apologise and try to stop but I’d inevitably have to pace again and probably pace even more due to being anxious that there mad at me for it.

Do Schoolkids Still Stamp on New Shoes?

We do this in work when someone gets new boots. In schools now no one really cares about new shoes it’s all about who’s got the newest phone and if you have an old android that’s what you’d get ripped for. Might be a bit different now I’ve been out of school 5 years so shouldn’t be much different.

Time travel. I’m always fascinated by the past present and future. Imagine going to an old derelict structure and just magically going back in time and seeing what it was, what the people are like around it, how the air feels different. Then going to the far future and seeing something completely different. There’s a lot to explore in the world but if you can travel between times on just 1 road I bet you could live a lifetime there. I’d assume since the earth is spinning rapidly and if you could stay still through time and the earth not just crush you instantly you could technically teleport too?

What’s the stupidest thing you’ve been ID’d for ?

For literally just using my phone. Wanna play Xbox? Prove your age. Wanna use Reddit? Prove your age. Instagram? Prove your age. Wanna change my license address? Prove my age. In a shop I think the stupidest one was in tesco where I literally have a bushy hobo beard and got a energy drink to be asked for id, btw the day before I bought 10 pack of beer without even being asked.

What is it like to be truly drunk?

IntelligentNeck8157@reddit

Professional alcoholic here. Honestly kinda forgot what I was gonna say cause I’m actually professionally drunk right now and professionally high but I’m not out of control right now but when you are spinning you start to have loads of saliva build up in your mouth and that means your going to be sick, before that part it’s pretty good depending on your situation like if your upset then don’t drink you will feel more and more sorry for yourself but if your in a good mood then yea by all means sure occasionally you might do something embarrassing but we all do and chances are your friends are drunk too so it’s a laugh. Guess I remembered what I was gonna say lol

My grandad once went inside McDonald’s and came out with a meal for a homeless guy and he said thank you and my grandad went back to his van and saw the homeless guy get up and just throw the whole meal into the bin then went back to the pavement and begged for money again. Some of them just want drug money some of them really do need your help we are all just a couple steps away from being homeless. I’m 19 and twice now I’ve had to prepare to live in my car but thank fully haven’t had to spend a night in it yet. But I wouldn’t help all of them because let’s face it a lot of them are there because they did hard drugs and a lot of them are going to stay there because they do hard drugs and if you give them money guess what. They will buy hard drugs over food.

My Nan used to work in one and I’d help her when I was little. One day there was an electric guitar with the amp and everything and she put it through for a fiver and gave it to me and I still have it 10+ years later. The question is would you reading this do the same thing? If you had the ability to see something like that and get it cheap af then rsther keep or sell it would you? It’s easy for people to say that’s evil and you shouldn’t do that but those people haven’t had that opportunity yet and would probably do it aswell. I go to charity shops just to find things to resell and there’s nothing wrong with it, the charity shop gets the price they wanted and whoever buys is off me gets the item and I get the price I wanted. Everyone wins.

I just saw on there 7g for $47 and I was thinking what’s this guy talking about that’s still kinda pricey but then I did the money exchange and realised that’s equivalent to £25 for 7G wow your right that’s very cheap for what looks like really nice quality smoke fair enough you made a good point I should move to canada

IntelligentNeck8157@reddit

I never would’ve guessed that it would be cheaper when legalised? I don’t know if it would be the same in Britain we get heavily taxed on everything we even get taxed after we die (inheritance tax) so I can see it being more expensive if legalised here

Would you use cannabis if it was legalised?

IntelligentNeck8157@reddit

I smoke it often but i believe it should be decriminalised, I don’t think it should be prescribed in shops because it’s just another thing the government can tax on (this is the only benefit for the government is tax if legalised) so I think it should just be decriminalised and easy to get for pensioners who could be in pain or if you have specific mental issues where weed could calm you down. The majority of people here will say they won’t smoke it anyway because why would they when they could easily get it now? People who don’t smoke see it as disgusting and repulsive usually and unfortunately frown upon others who do smoke so most wouldn’t anyway for most it’s just something they try as a teen and rather keep buying or stop all together

Yea your right there although if your going for nights out then it’s worth it because every city usually has something different and cool nightclub wise like in Liverpool there’s a phone box and when you use the phone the door opens and u go downstairs and it’s a bar but if it’s for every day shopping there’s rlly no point

Your missing the point when I say “they” I’m not talking about some overlord taking over property’s I mean the councils and people approving yet another Aldi to be put there, I’ve even seen petitions to try to prevent an Aldi from being built as the area was too scenic for just another Aldi to block the view so who would that petition be aimed at? The people that can prevent it, I assume the council. Maybe stop reading into every little word in a post

Smokers/vapers who have kids, do you try to hide your habit from them?

Posted by TankFoster@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 166 comments

IntelligentNeck8157@reddit

My parents used to smoke infront of me as a kid and I remember these white stick sweets that looks like ciggies and I used to pretend I’m smoking them then when I was 12 I waiting until my parents fell asleep and stole some cigs went upstairs and spent the night teaching myself to roll and I’ve smoked ever since now I’m 19. Growing up smoking was normal I was always told it’s bad and my parents were furious when I got caught at 12 years old but it was inevitable for me to start smoking as everyone around me (adults) did. If I had my own kids I don’t know if I would hide it but I wouldn’t show my kids I’m smoking tbh there would be no point in hiding it that just teaches my kids it’s ok to hide things it’s better to just be open and honest and explain how it can hold them back in certain aspects of life and hope that they don’t do it but yet again I can’t stop them when they reach a certain age just hoe my parents couldn’t stop me it’s just the circle we repeat history.

Were there any weird/silly things banned at your school?

Posted by Smithy1619@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 381 comments

IntelligentNeck8157@reddit

I got paper boats banned because me and a friend kept makin them to the point the teacher would find them in the desks, stairs, toilets, cupboards and other places. One day in maths we all put them on our desks and the teacher would bin them, every time she turned around they would double and it got to the point they had to ban them. I called them porta-boats because u could fold them into a small diamond shape making them portable I guess lol

IntelligentNeck8157@reddit

Few years ago when I was at the chavy clothes like adidas and Nike (don’t get me wrong still wear the hoodies but I won’t go out my way to buy a £90 shirt just because it’s “trendy”) but now I’m 19 I got better shit to worry about like house maintenance, bills, work and the car so honestly just cheap shops sometimes I make it fun by tryna find the cheapest shirt I can find. There’s a few trade outlets that do smart shirts and jeans for like a tenner if you don’t have something like that or even a matalan then just go charity shops.
