What is the most shocking thing you've seen in public?

I was about 8 (late 70s) and in the car with my dad. We pulled up to a junction to cross a dual carriageway and my dad suddenly said "Don't look". And what do you do when anyone says that?! Yeah, you look... We must have just pulled up to the junction seconds after an RTA. The driver of the car I could see was hanging out of the side window and there were rivers of blood running down the door. Not me, but an acquaintance was having works drinks in a bar in the city on Christmas Eve. Sat in the window and suddenly a man lands on the pavement right outside the window. He was a solicitor who decided Christmas was a good time to throw himself out of a window above the bar. Dead on impact. I spent a couple of weeks in Leeds General Infirmary back in the summer. I was sat in my wheelchair outside the Jubilee Wing and a young girl, who didn't look well at all, was in her adapted chair, with her carer sat on the bench next to me. Suddenly the girl had a massive epileptic seizure, tipped the chair and landed on the paving. Doctors and nurses appeared from everywhere. A foreign family, 2 adults, 2 small kids, who were parked to the side of where we were and were actually leaving the hospital, came back from their car, basically stood over the girl and started staring. Staff asked them to move several times. I asked them to move too. They went to the car, loaded the kids in and came back to stare and video the event, before the privacy screens were wheeled out. I said I'd move, but I was asked to stay put as I was actually blocking the view from one side. That poor girl had the indignity of this awful family, mouths open, gawping at her as if she was something totally revolting. It really upset me for a couple of days, as I thought she was going to die and I didn't actually know if she'd survived. She looked close to death. Saw her a couple of days later, having a coffee and she looked fantastic! It was nice to see her looking so well. As for that family, words fail me 😡 Mid 70s, our family dog, a Westie, shot out of the car when we pulled up outside our house at about half ten at night. Mum had only just got hold of his lead, when he spotted a cat and went to bolt after it. Straight across the road, straight under the wheels of a Jag. I threw up there and then. The car stopped, our dog picked himself up, shook himself off, not a scratch on him!!! How he wasn't injured or killed I have no idea! That screech of brakes has stayed with me for nearly 50 years. Awful.
