You can always take the “🇹🇷” out of your bios “🇦🇱🇹🇷” “🇧🇦🇹🇷” 🇽🇰🇹🇷”. You’re not mixed, you don’t live there… why is that flag in your bio again? I do not have any flags in any bio but like, my ancestors, just like many other turks' ancestors were "indigenous" balkan peoples who probably converted to islam sometime in the 1500-1700s, lived there for hundreds of years, and then were driven away at gunpoint in the 1890s for being muslim. so...

Kardan Aydınlık is an Islamic nasheed rooted in 1970s Turkey. In the 1990s, it was sung in Islamist circles in reference to Bosniaks and Albanians, and later became associated with Palestine. In your country, are religious chants also used for political purposes?

What Do You Think About Nolan's Choice of Translation For The Odyssey?

>There's a limit to how comprehensively I can make the case in the space of a Reddit post without straining people's patience I think the limit is not people's patience but the fact that you're terrible at persuasive writing, you just keep saying things without showing any evidence to support them but like, in the most verbose way possible, it's so tiring.

Do you drink more locally produced alcoholic drinks or do you prefer imported ones?

I have never read the Odyssey and I am not that interested in classics but "complicated man" sounds to me a much more appropriate (although admittedly plain) translation for "man of many turns" than "ingenious hero", "resourceful man" or "cunning hero". and also is this your only reason for arguing that Wilson's translation is "feminist propaganda"? Because to an uninformed reader it just seems to me you're just seething that it's a translation by a woman. Like, maybe I know nothing about it and Wilson does actually try to shape the story in such a way, but you certainly have not done a good job of showing any evidence for that.

dude, I am not obligated to respond to every single sentence, I agree with some of them, but don't pretend that the ottomans were uniquely evil for crushing revolts, as that is something literally every empire did, quite brutally
