Yea, someone slapped a turbo on their Pacifica lol, its the same engine, it can handle the power. People give it alot of shit for some issues it's had, but I have 3 myself and another 6 in my family, and AFAIK I'm the only one who's needed a head swapped on one of my cars. Knock on wood, they've been great. My work van is at 550k km

I don't understand how anyone calls these things family vehicles. There's no room for shit in there. Minivans are much more practical for all the kid shit

What’s a car that gets so much heat about being un-reliable but in reality it’s the complete opposite?

Agreed. I'm in Canada and have 2 caravans and a journey, all 2013s. All 200k+ km each. Knock on wood, no major repairs on any of them.

3080ti owner. I'm not in a financial position to do so, otherwise I would, I'm back in school though, so probably won't have a chance to upgrade until I'm done and into my new Carter, which may be 1 or 2 generations newer than the 5090 by then

I think they call it that because most families *could* be mistaken for a travelling circus. The lack of giant red noses is a dead give away in most cases though.

I feel bad for the couple in the motorhome being caught in that situation. Honestly fuck all those people driving the super cars here.

Tell me your story of car owners who SWEAR their car is reliable

I mean, you'll have to get out the tinfoil hat for this one, but if car companies can collude with big oil to keep gas reliability up, who says they don't want to knowledge horde to keep consumers buying new? I know, far fetched and stupid, maybe, but who knows. Realistically I think it just boils down to interest and cost.

I'm in Canada and alot of the schools around me don't have them, but the school I went to went heavy on shop classes, the woodworking class even had a house building component and sourced logs from the forest across from the school. We had machine shop, auto class and tech(autocad building design). By the time I got to grade 11 I was spending half a day all year in auto class for the rest of highschool. It's one of the things that at the time I never realized how lucky I was to have the exposure to different fields as a kid, it was just school. Loved it so much though.
