Can someone suggest a milk chocolate that tastes like it did back in the day?

It’s normal to have not noticed, this is precisely why they changed the recipe, flavour is wasted on a lot of people. It has however significantly changed, as have all fizzy drinks bar cola. Some people just don’t have great taste, literally. But really, _surely_ you’d have noticed the texture/mouth feel change?

Do you fall into the UK sibling stereotype?

I think the middle is wildest in terms of attention seeking behaviours, the youngest is the wildest in terms of the true definition of not caring and being a bit neurotic.

How do you prefer your tomatoes in a full English breakfast?

Posted by Thekingoflowders@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 399 comments

CB_39@reddit

Fried thoroughly in the bacon fat, blackened on the outside a touch but inside almost caramelised (jamified?). Must be sweet cherry tomatoes. People who say they don't like tomatoes but like ketchup just haven't had it done right.

Who has the highest (fame + money):(talent + effort) ratio in the UK?

John Deacon was a genius who wrote many of the top hits, was loved and valued by everyone inside and outside of the band. He handled his and Queen's finances incredibly prudently, lived a quiet life since Freddie's death and was extremely talented. This answer is hot rubbish.

I'm not saying that at all silly. I'm saying that they can't make up the entire load of the grid. Right now thanks to gas being volatile and the energy market being broken and tied to gas having wind turbines is like printing money right now. Like I said, I work in the industry as an engineer, I have masters in mechanical engineering - can you say the same?

And gas turbines which produce our electricity base load are 36% electrically efficient. That's 0.52Kg CO2 per kWh. Grid AVG is 0.19 with nearly 50% of that being renewable. Nuclear is 0.012Kg CO2/kWh

Wind can only capture 59% of the airs kinetic energy. I've been modelling them recently and load factors of 25% are considered very good and that's absolutely awful. Have rows of offshore and they shed so much dirty air that they barely can produce 1.5 GWh/MW install.

Batteries can quite literally never get big enough to offer such a solution. Batteries on grid are used for grid services by cleaning up the frequency not actually storing electricity. The amount of lithium to store large values of electricity and discharge is absolutely outrageous. I am an energy engineer with a master's degree so I'm hopefully not just speaking out my rear end.

If you have that much wind and solar to cover the base load, you are generating far too much electricity, and there's nowhere for it to go. You have to start paying people to take electricity off the grid. If that happens then why waste all that carbon installing and maintaining those turbines etc when we could just have done it with nuclear which is way cleaner

What kind of new scientific discovery would be most exciting to you?

NVIDIA Readies GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4080 SUPER

A 4070 super for $750? Are you mad. 20 series super pricing was the same as the original cards MSRP. $579 for the 4070 is already ludicrously expensive. The 4070S should have the same MRSP as 4070 with 16gb VRAM.

Yeah but the power connector sits at the top, not at the rear, so use with the actual low profile bracket in proper OEM SFF system it'll be hard to fit in with the power connector poking out the top.
